Good Points: Setting, breakfast, sophistication
Bad Points: The noise under our room at the hotel entrance on Friday night (from other guests enjoying a drink) which at midnight caused us to get out of bed and insist on a room transfer - which was provided with apologies

Further Comments: Beautiful historic location, good accomadation, excellent food, easy to find - right beside the cathedral. Food obviously has a good reputation as local eat there too.

Good Points: The hotel is easy to find and has a superb location overlooking the Cathedral. The hotel is expensively furnished and is in very good order
Bad Points: The bed was hard and although this may suit some, we found it a bit too severe. The location is very close to the Cathedral which is great for visiting but has the disadvantage that if you are a light sleeper the chimes from the church can remind you of every quarter hour that passes.
Further Comments: I recommend this hotel because it is generally quiet and discrete. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. The wine list, too is good and contains a number of interesting selections. The decor is good although you have to be a fan of black leather to get the best from the experience. Ripon itself is a fascinating city being both very small but historically significant. If you are travelling en route as we were, it is ideally located close to the main A1(M) route.

Good Points: Decor, quiet, relaxing aatmosphere and excellent service, restaurant and food were excellent. Beautiful location.
Further Comments: We had a group of guests staying the same night who were particulary noisy in the restaurant and their conversation was very loud and extremely rude!! together with foul language, the restaurant staff handled it very well and we were apologised to several times that evening and the next day by management.

Good Points: Quiet, refined, accessible to the town. Very nice experience.

Further Comments: Easy to book. Good location and good facilities. Pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast and good parking.

Good Points: Excellent setting, room, staff and dining facilities.
Bad Points: Toilet and bath blocked, sent shower of water down into the dining room. Staff dealt with situation very well.
Further Comments: As what we liked about accomodation. Would definately stay again when we visit Harrogate show (twice a year) and would recommend to frinds.

Good Points: I loved the contemporary style which added to the charm of the building.
Bad Points: Nothing
Further Comments: We were treated very well from the moment we arrived. The accommodation was delightful, particularly the four poster bed and bathroom which were very designer style. The restaurant decor and food were exceptional and the staff were very friendly which made us feel very welcome. Having a quiet drink in the garden during the late summer afternoon was incredibly relaxing after a day touring the countryside.

Bad Points: Nothing about the accommodation but dis appointed that your restaurant is closed on a Sunday night and breakfast is not served for early birds

Good Points: Excellent room, very friendly staff, great breakfast (compliments to the chef).
Bad Points: Didn't get to see the ghost in Room 6.
Further Comments: Very much enjoyed our stay and have already recommened it to others. We will return.

Good Points: We felt very private and not been watched. It was very peacful there and with eligance as well. The bath room was really nice and made it a overall nice night away and will deffinatly go back again to stay.
Bad Points: Nothing really only alittle expensive on drinks and when we returned after paying the bill we noticed we had been charged twice for the drinks but I never checked when I payed.
Further Comments: The look of the Hotel was welcoming and the staff were very helpful. The room was spotless and the bathroom was so nice. The whole night away was a very pleasant experiance and will deffinatly come back to stay very soon when the races are on later on in the year.
