Good Points: Good views from conservatory over Lake Windermere
Bad Points: Room facilities basic, shower thermostat faulty and had to be moved to another room. Food overpriced for nouvelle cuisine. Hotel old fashioned.
Further Comments: Disappointing - the Manager reduced our bill for the problems we had.

Good Points: Personal, attentive service. Beaultiful hotel and grounds. Relaxing atmosphere.
Further Comments: A fabulous hotel, where the staff really do make you feel welcome and at home. The surroundings are plush, yet confortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Good Points: Everything was fantastic about this hotel. Friendly staff, very comfortable rooms and brilliant food.
Bad Points: There were no bad points!

Good Points: The whole experience. Excellent location, great food, wonderful facilities and very friendly staff.
Further Comments: A great experience in a wonderful backdrop. Great for walks, for fine dining and general relaxtion.

Good Points: The situtuation there is quite breathtaking, the views over looking the lake are fabulous, the service and accomodation was faltless.
Bad Points: Our only problem we had was the cuisine, even though the menu was no doubt cooked to perfection, it's not what we were used to, and so as a result failed to understand the pricing for such small portions !!
Further Comments: As ever we took this break on a last minute wim, and we were so glad we picked the Linthwaite Hotel, the service, surroundings, atmosphere was fantastic, we will most definateley be returning again, hopefully to some better weather! The Staff were outstanding, very obliging, polite, and first class with their service .

Good Points: The hotel was a wonderful and quiet place where we felt like we could relax and recover from a long trip. Additionally, the staff did everything within their considerable power to make sure that all of our needs were well attended to.
Bad Points: As a younger couple we didn￢ﾀﾙt initially fit in with some of the other guest demographics.
Further Comments: This was a wonderful hotel stay, and we will make every effort to return some day. As the first part of our honeymoon my new wife and I just wanted to relax and recover. Upon stepping out of the car on our arrival we had already begun to feel better. The views from the hotel terrace overlooking late Windermere were spectacular, and the accommodations were equally special. We were greeted by a wonderful and comfortable room overlooking part of the gardens, as well as a bottle of Champaign & assortment of fine chocolates as congratulations from the owner. Every aspect of our stay was personalized, and well attended to which is exactly what we expected from a hotel of this caliber. My wife and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone in need of a Lake District break.

Good Points: Fantastic location with beautiful surroundings. Food was the best quality I've ever tasted
Further Comments: I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle nad bustle of modern life. Tranquil location with it's own trout lake within the grounds. Michelin starred food was a delight and the bedroom with the garden view was fabulous. Staff were very professional, but not overly attentive and you hardly realised they were there. Overall an excellent break.

Good Points: The food at the lindthwaite is excellent, the views from the hotel grounds are beautiful and the staff are helpful. Wifi worked perfectly and had adequate connection speed.
Bad Points: The room (standard) was small. The bathroom was not in great decorative order. The renovation works going on at the time of our stay were noisy at times.
