Good Points: Clean & spacious room, with good amenities, i.e. large closet space, television, ironing facilities, etc. The food in the restaurant was very good quality & value.
Further Comments: The staff were friendly, efficient, extremely helpful, and a pleasure to work with. The room was nice, and very good value. We stayed in several hotels & B&Bs during this particular trip, and this is one of the few that I would recommend.

Good Points: Made to feel welcome by friendly staff/management, comfortable surroundings, choice of menu, good food, and extensive room facillities.
Bad Points: More visable signage at the front of the hotel. We drove past it twice whilst looking for it. Only found it by asking someone on the street for directions. Also there was a heady odour of dampness on the stairs and in the corridors, this was not evident in the room though.
Further Comments: I had a most enjoyable stay at the hotel, any critisms were minor and covered in the earlier section. This would not put me off re-booking in future.

Good Points: Large room, well serviced
Bad Points: provision of Cordless kettle that provided had power lead too short and inconvenient
Further Comments: Hotel was booked by Ian Lister on behalf of Andy Young. Very poor signage illuminated sign on Hotel would have made it easier to locate on entering Swan Square had to drive round 2x. sign indicating car park also required Staff frindly efficient and welcoming. Food well cooked thought menu a bit limited.

Good Points: A beautiful old hotel, with all mod cons. Excellent breakfast.
Bad Points: I couldn't get in the car park and ended up with a parking ticket.
Further Comments: Although we had to wait to check into our room, amale member of staff moved things on for us swiftly. Reception is important as travellers are often tired and grumpy after a difficult journey. The room and breakfast were excellent, as was the service in the restaurant.

Good Points: The hotel in general was very good but we found our double room a bit on the small side.
Further Comments: The staff are very helpful and friendly A little disappointed with the first nights dinner. We ate somewhere else the following night, but as in most cases it might have been, just one of those nights. PS We had a bar meal the day after during the afternoon. It was very good.

Good Points: The food was excellent, staff very helpfull.
Bad Points: Not many.
Further Comments: The stay was a surprise for my wife's 50th birthday and i ordered a bouquet of flowers for our room on arrival, but unfortunately they had been let down by the florists, which was dissapointing. The tv remote control didn't work and the room could have been a bit warmer. Lastly may i state again that all staff who dealt with us were a credit to the hotel.

Good Points: Closeness to Port Vale Football Ground as it was my reason for staying in Burslem.
Bad Points: I was first billed a higher amount than on my booking form but it was swiftly corrected.

Good Points: The hotel was clean and had all amenities
Bad Points: The carpark was not clearly signposted, and parking in the town was pay and display
Further Comments: There was not many other facilities, ie, no games room which would have been beneficial as we had a teenager with us. The area ,although it was a town was not close to other facilities such as pubs that did food. The hotel could not provide us with any games ie a pack of cards to play with. During the night we were disturbed by other guests being very noisy. The room was in good condition with all the facilities we needed, however, there was three of us staying in the room and they only provided two cups for the tea and coffees.

Good Points: Staff were very friendly. Bedrooms were airy and clean. Bed (6 foot) very comfortable. Food was very good, especially breakfast.
Bad Points: It is looking a little tired outside and around the foyer area, but very good value for money.
Further Comments: Although the area is not one I would choose for a holiday (it being in the middle of the potteries with Royal Doulton Factory next door) it was easy to access, directions to the hotel were good and the secured garage a plus. A good place for a nights stay over.

Good Points: nothing
Bad Points: Roomwas very antiquated and the carpoet was so stained, I did not remove footware
Further Comments: Food was excellent but the room was very poor for money. We asked for a better room for our return journey and explained the food was good and for this reason we wanted a better room. On our return we were told that the hotel restaurant was closed on a sunday. We were not told when we booked. We cancelled our booking that night and continued our extra 4 hr journey home.

Good Points: The bed was most comfortable
Bad Points: Breakfast could go on for longer, we were told it went on till 10 so went for breakfast at 9:30 to be told it had finish, although we were still given breakfast it tasted as though it had been in the kitchen for a while...
Further Comments: Overall this is a very nice hotel, it looks much nicer than it does in photo's! The rooms are clean and the staff are polite, only thing we weren't completely satisfied with was the breakfast, maybe if you get there earlier it's freshly cooked...
