| Good Points:
Clean room and very soft sheets |
| Bad Points:
Breakfast was abit of a shambles! Very slow and unorganised. |
Further Comments: We arrived at 1.00pm and was told we could not get into our room till 2.00. As we were going on to an afternoon party and and needed somewhere to change immediatly, the receptionist went to see if there was a room ready. She came back and managed to switch us round into a room that was ready, which was wonderful. Staff like this make a stay stress free.

Bad Points: The room was very small, and the bed was uncomfortable.
Further Comments: The health suite was lovely! However, the bedrooms were both small and far too close to one another; this was extremely disappointing.

Good Points: Good size, comfortable room which was well laid out.
Bad Points: Bathroom had sloping ceiling, so my partner couldn't stand up in the bath.
Further Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but would like to have been told about the low ceiling over the bath so as to have made an informed choice. The staff at reception when we arrived, the bar staff and the restaurant staff were all very professional, friendly and helpful however, the young man on reception on Monday morning 24 July may need some training as, when I queried an amount included in my bill for a phone call made from our room as we hadn't used the phone at all, instead of just saying he would look into it for me, he practically accused me of lying before he realised that the call had been made the day before we arrived! (The only blot on the landscape)Once he had made this discovery, he did apologise and amended the bill. For your information, I didn't book on-line but on the phone, however I have often made bookings on line in the past.

Good Points: Friendly and helpful staff
Bad Points: The extractor fan in the bathroom was unbelievably noisy!
Further Comments: Hotel was in a lovely setting and close enough to Rye to go there in the evening. The room was well equipped and the bed had been made up with blankets instead of a duvet at our request. The breakfast was very good - using local produce and providing a good range for every taste. We made use of the small gym and had some very good treatments in the spa.

Good Points: The break was booked by my girlfriend as I had requested that we spend my birthday away from it all. I had no idea where we were going or staying until we arrived at Flackley Ash. My first impression was very nice. The facilities (Gym, Sauna and Spa)offered at Flackley Ash are fantastic, and ideal for a break away from it all. The staff are very friendly (a credit to the hotel) and provide an excellent service. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal we had in the hotel, and by the end of our stay we were both refreshed and relaxed. Since returning I have recommended the hotel to several friends and colleagues. I will definately return back to this hotel for a break away from it all.
Further Comments: As above (What did you like about your accommodation)

Good Points: The hotel was in an attractive country setting with close access to many of the National Trust properties and other attractions in the area. The staff were very friendly and the food and restaurant service excellent. The leisure facilities were also very good.
Bad Points: Our room was situated on a low level and there was a smell of drains when we first walked in. Although it was clean and adequate it was a little cramped and needed some refurbishment.
Further Comments: We couldn't fault the service and friendliness of the well-trained staff. The checking in and out proceedures all ran smoothly and the restaurant and leisure facilities were overall excellent. The room was however disappointing. It was situated off a busy corridor, almost opposite the kitchen. It was cramped and old fashioned in style. It also smelt at times of drains. The hotel is an old building and it needs modernising and refurbishing in some areas.

Good Points: Comfortable, quiet, good leisure facilities, friendly staff.
Bad Points: Slightly limited menu, and slightly pricey, but excellent puddings and breakfast.
Further Comments: If you want a nice hotel close to the south coast with a pool, gym and good onsite restaurant and bar then this is the place for you. Room was perfectly fine although it was a little on the expensive side.
