Good Points: The first room was very bright but had a leaky (noisy) faucet and burned out lights in the bathroom. Also had no A/C. The second room was darker but they upgraded us to a suite for free.
Bad Points: Clarity of what is included in the package (we missed out on two meals) and cleanliness and general maintenance of the rooms. Also, change the menu the food was really boring after two days.
Further Comments: Nice hotel, obviously aged but could be maintained better. The staff is mostly helpful. The upgrade was appreciated. The dining was disappointing being self-serve buffet pretty well every day with no change in the breakfast food and little to no change in the dinner menu.

Further Comments: Arrived Sunday 9.15 pm and told restaurant taking orders until 9.45. Arrived at restaurant at just after 9.30 but told restaurant closed at 9.30 and we couldn't be served

Good Points: lovely reception and entrance hall
Bad Points: definately dusting! the room was very dusty,the glass in window had a large crack.
Further Comments: my hubby and i spent a 3 night weekend break here.grand entrance, good lift, the room we stayed in on the 4th floor was nice and cosy, very comfy bed, air conditioning(a bit noisy), just a bit dusty and no view from cracked dirty window, for the price fairly good value, dinner was ok, breakfast couldnt fault, very good, loads of choice.hotel right in main shopping street, room very quiet though which was nice. would definately avoid the park vaults pub it was very unfriendly horrible place! on the whole we had a good stay we were on the 1-2-3 offer but wouldnt have wanted to pay the full price , im not one to complain but would only rate the hotel 3* not 4*.
