Good Points: easy access to town centre and a very quiet well kept hotel
Bad Points: the bar prices, bottles of wine were very expensive and did not arrive chilled.
Further Comments: Very helpful friendly staff and had a really nice relaxing stay in the hotel The restaurant food was excellent but the fire alarm going off during our meal was a bit of a pain.

Good Points: friendly staff always willing to help and sort out any problems good breakfasts and evening meal.
Bad Points: lack of coat-hangers pillow cases on inside out
Further Comments: although the pool was out of action when we stayed this was relayed to us before booking. I would like to return when the leisure facilities are in full action.

Good Points: Very comfy. Every thing there except the menu when stayed in room 102. Over all exceptional rooms and staff.
Bad Points: could of done with internet access.
Further Comments: Excellent staff and hotel.

Good Points: A very comfy bed! The eveing meal we had in the restaurant was fantastic - wonderful food.
Further Comments: We were overall very pleased with our stay in the Thistle. We were delighted with our evening meals in the restaurant. Very nice hotel.

Bad Points: The room was cold
Further Comments: The breakfast was ok. The meals at the bar were awful.

Good Points: It was very relaxing and the staff were really friendly and welcoming but not too much
Further Comments: We found our stay relaxing and would reccommend this hotel. The food was enjoyable and the staff were friendly.

Good Points: Quiet setting, mainly good food, good accomodation with the dinning and sitting area.
Bad Points: Paper torn of the wall, rip in the covers, supplying only two mugs and sifficient tea and coffee for two when there were four adults.
Further Comments: This is our second visit to the hotel however, it was not as smooth as our first. Two additional mugs/cups were requested on two occasions which never arrived, the wrong wine was brought to the table, staff did not offer any of the table further away from the door for dinner (none of the tables were occupied during our meal), the wrong dessert was served, it was replaced by the correct one however, the vanilla ice cream was re-used in the chocolate fudge sundae instead of chocolate ice cream as should have been served and was served to all other guests. The wrong main course was served for my son and he had to wait. Compared to our previous visit it seem to have lost the overal warm welcome and the efficient manner. Although I would still consider it and recommend it there would be a doubt.

Good Points: Room spacious and clean
Bad Points: The room was a distance away from the main part of the hotel.
Further Comments: Generally happy with all aspects of the hotel. Although some areas of the hotel were quite cold and the decor was a little shabby in areas although clean. Breakfast was good and good value.

Good Points: Large room size. Swimming pool.
Bad Points: Poor quality shower with tatty shower curtain.
Further Comments: The night we stayed the hotel seemed to be fully booked. Breakfast the following morning was totally disorganised. We had to wait for a table, although looking into the restaurant we could see plenty of empty tables, they just weren't being cleared quickly enough. Also food trays weren't being replenished to keep up with demand and there were no clean glasses or cereal bowls.

Bad Points: Il fatto che la colazione non fosse compresa nel prezzo esposto al momento della prenotazione: pagare il costo aggiuntivo del breakfast ￃﾨ stata una sopresa, anche se il costo ￃﾨ stato contenuto (ￂﾣ 10,00 per tutti)
Further Comments: Vi suggerisco di includere il costo della colazione nel prezzo esposto nella prenotazione on line.

Good Points: Nice rooms, friendly staff.
Bad Points: Could hear TV from a room down the corridor, kept me away until early hours. Immediate response from receiption though to sort it out and all was quiet not long after. Thank you to man on reception!
Further Comments: Hotel is very nice, ate in bar area and it was nice food. Friendly staff. Only problem with pool area, nowhere to change to I decided not to use it. Maybe if you offered gowns in the room to walk too & from the pool it would be more appropriate. I was not going to walk through the corridors in my swimsuit - especially as I was travelling alone. It was a shame, I was looking forward to using the pool.
