| Good Points:
The easy access to the airport for departure the next day. The hotel was well cared for and felt good on arrival. |
| Bad Points:
Unfortunately there was a function on and all occupants of the hotel were awoken at 2am by the fire alarm which was apparently a prank from the drunken guests. I appreciate that functions are a necessary part of a hotel's business but perhaps more policing the event would not go amiss. We were lucky our flight was not until 10am but had it been earlier we would not have been particularly happy. |

| Good Points: Upgrade taken and very pleased with room. Both husband and son found the beds comfortable and were happy to have a good sized room, also lots of space to have breakfast there |
| Bad Points: There was only one bathrobe and some cutlery was missing from room service meal. They should have alerted staff at the time, so some of the fault is their own. |
| Further Comments: Overall they were very happy with their stay. My son had a long day of competitive golf and finds it difficult to sleep in a strange bed so he was delighted to get a full, and comfortable night's sleep. They were not needing to use any general facilities in the hotel as they were also visiting friends, but were happy with the faciities they used. |

| Bad Points: Staff could be more attentive to welcoming guests on arrival,a smiley face for example, breakfast food service needs more attention in order to provide correct food, restaurant staff need to be more polite, general manners and treatment towards guests needs dramatically improving. Also, the tea facilities were not generous enough for the number of guests. |
| Further Comments: Having travelled for 5 hrs in total, we were not greeted with a hello nor a smile or pleasantries, but a member of staff who was in angst about her colleagues' discussion during a phone call. I had to ask where the room was, no directions were offered at first. Cold and unwelcoming start. Upon having a meal in the bar area, staff were reluctant to serve immediately. The warm apple pie was frozen in the centre but placed in a red hot dish which also melted the icecream!!, Breakfast was ordered for room service. No fork provided, no tomato or mushrooms, no butter for the toast, a missing yoghurt and then we were expected to wait 10- 15 minutes for this to be resolved??!! When asking if a courtesy bus would be able to take us to a building on the airport, the member of staff questioned this and said the building was not where we said but on the other side of the airport ( but in the end.......) yes we can take you there (but not without disputing the fact first!) Generally,the main problem was that the price did not reflect the QUALITY of service nor the service expected at this cost. It is a high class hotel with 2 star service and so we were not treated very well at all. Good customer relations is imperrative no matter what the decor is. People will come back but we won't!!! |
