Good Points: Close enough to Stratford, Warwick and Leamington Spa. Good selection at breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.
Bad Points: Get better door closers to reduce noise. More non-smoking rooms
Further Comments: A hotel in the country but not really a 'country hotel'. All rooms seem to be in a modern block with a view of the car park. Restaurant also had a lovely view of the car park and morning deliveries. Rooms OK - clean and functional. Inter-room phoning seemed not to work. Noisy plumbing and door slammers (not just quiet closers!), mean you will wake when those around you decide to go out

Bad Points: A covered walkway between the rooms and the reception and restaurant areas to prevent you getting wet in the rain!
Further Comments: Dinner menu was rather limited although restaurant staff were very efficient and attentive. We were rather squashed in on a very small table extremely close to another couple at both dinner and breakfast, could have had more privacy.

Good Points: It was warm and fairly quiet. Nice clean room. Staff were polite and helpful.
Bad Points: The extractor fan in the bathroom was on all the time, squeaked all the time and would not turn off. The bath panel was warped and coming away from the bath. (room 32 Charlecote Pheasant) It would be better to have a choice of toast or croissant to tick for continental breakfast brought to your room in the morning.
Further Comments: The price of the breakfast ( continental ) brought to the room in the morning would have been an advantage to know in advance. We were charged a different rate for friday, different again for saturday and a third rate for sunday.

Good Points: the location
Bad Points: The bath had a cigarette burn as did the towels; the sofa was old and uncomfortable. In the restaurant the food was overcooked, the service was slow and the wine was poor.

Good Points: Rooms very spacious & clean
Bad Points: vary the menu on a daily basis, the propspect of having the same meal the following day was poor!
Further Comments: There was little sound-proofing between rooms, we could hear the conversation next door! Door closures were set such that all the doors closed with a thud, not good if you wanted to sleep beyond 7am. Can't imagine it to be much fun if fully booked, we were there with 10% (estimate) occupancy. The restaurant staff need to be 'trained' in english etiquete, drinks first, then take the meal order & I would have liked to be asked what I wanted as a main course rather than assume we were there for the popular choice! On a positive note, the hotel is well located for Stratford and Warwick, plus access to the Cotswolds.

Good Points: It was clean, comfortable and offered excellent value for money with top-class service from all the staff.
Further Comments: Well-placed hotel for a number of attractions, ample parking, great food plus clean and comfortable rooms. We found the room was close enough to reception if we needed it, but private enough to hide out and order in room service!

Good Points: The location was fantastic. Very peaceful and scenic surroundings and only a short drive into Straford.
Bad Points: One minor point - drinks tray with kettle and cups had seen better days and on first appearance looked dirty. This really needed replacing - as I said a minor point, but it did taint our first impressions.
Further Comments: A lovely hotel in a perfect location. The area is peaceful and scenic with lovely walks nearby. The hotel is situated about a 10 minute drive from Stratford and a 20 minute drive from Warwick. The hotel has many on-site facilities including bar, restaurant and pool, all of which are well presented. We booked on a promotional price and got a double room for half price (exc breakfast). At the rate we paid we felt like we'd got ourselves a real bargian compared to the expensive tourist rates offered by the hotels in Stratford, which are often very basic.

Good Points: Nice and close to Stratford & Warwick.
Bad Points: I found the accommodation to be a bit tired and in need of updating.
Further Comments: I would have liked to have known if smoking or none smoking as the room that we stayed into was obviously used for smoking as the stale smell was still noticeable.

Good Points: Proximity to Stratford on Avon. Hotel was warm with plenty of hot water.
Bad Points: Room was not very clean with stains on carpets and cobwebs. Noisy plumbing kept us awake.
Further Comments: Room disappointing - fake beams and general lack of cleanliness. The very noisy plumbing kept us awake and we had to pack up and move to another room during the night. Staff were aware of this problem, but still booked us into the room. However they did deal with the matter efficiently and moved us into a better room.
