Good Points: This was a lovely hotel and very convenient for the airport.

Good Points: The elegant and comfortable building, but most of all the helpful and pleasant staff.
Bad Points: The restaurant menu.
Further Comments: We had a very pleasant overnight stay with surprisingly little aircraft noise. We appreciated the transport to the airport and the help with our luggage. The restaurant menu was expensive and a little too unusual and exotic, particularly for our American guests. However the chef agreed to serve us dishes from the bar menu at our table in the restaurant, which solved the problem. The hotel was very full with wedding guests, but the staff went out of their way to see that we were catered for and comfortable.

Good Points: The room was very clean and of a very good standard and the staff were helpfull.
Further Comments: The bar is small and when busy the service is slow. The meal in the main restaurant was nice but portions were very small and the wine list did not include a house wine.

Good Points: Very comfortable room, well appointed and very clean and tidy
Further Comments: Dinner was outstanding in taste and quality. Staff friendly and helpful, unusually so in these times. Service in all cases was efficient and orderly. I would recommend your hotel to anyone and will definately stay there again when I next visit manchester.

Further Comments: restaurant menu over elaborate and pricey for stopover. Menu in room did not apply to restaurant, so misleading. we disliked atmosphere or lack of, and seating arrangements in restaurant. we ate in lounge in the end, and food was fine, but we still did not enjoy the surroundings and lack of background music. it was not made clear we could just eat in the bar. other aspects of hotel good.

Bad Points: The room telephone did not work,i had to call for room service from my mobile. The television did not work either
Further Comments: I travel alone when i am away from home on business. I do not like dining on my own and will only stay in hotels where room service is available. I was unaware that this had changed since my last stay and due to inadequate staff levels, breakfast is no longer served in the rooms. Therefore despite having paid for breakfast in an inclusive rate I could not have any breakfast.
