| Good Points: i have stopped in many hotels not only in york but around the world. The level of accomodation in york has pleased me more often than not.i paid over the odds to stop at some hotels known as the best in the area, naming no names but the state of the room in which id paid a fortune for wasnt up to scratch. However i was more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room we were given. It was spacious,Clean and comfortable, and the decor was outstanding.I proposed to my girlfriend in York that weekend and the quality inn made the experience all the more enjoyable. |
| Bad Points: Nothing, however the maids that clean your room in the morning annoyed my fiance by knocking continuously on the door and ignoring the do not disturb sign. |
| Further Comments: Clean, beautiful decor, polite welcoming staff.decent location.slightly loud irritating maids ignoring the do not disturb sign. |

| Good Points: very comfortable.....room contained everything needed for short stay, except (see below) |
| Bad Points: (1)shower only..no option to take a bath
(2)insufficicient storage space for smaller items of clothing and luggage |
| Further Comments: I would have liked to have known whether there was car parking available, and if not the nearest and cheapest options. Also there did not seem to be any indication of the distance of the hotel from the city centre amenities. |

| Good Points: Close to the city centre and a cheap bar across the road (underneath the Travel Inn) |
| Bad Points: Our room 110 although nice was very noisey due to the location. It is situated above an alley way. This sends echos of noise to the room, including deliveries being made early in the morning. |
| Further Comments: The hotel was very clean and the food was excellent, the staff were pleasant enough (particulary the young lady on reception) although we found the duty manager rather rude. We were not asked if we'd enjoyed our stay on checking out.
As we had a discount rate we found the hotel reasonable value for money. However, if we had paid the full rate we would have been disappointed.
There are no facilities in the hotel, bar the bar and restaurant, which we felt resulted in the hotel being overpriced.
All-in-all we had a lovely weekend as we love York |

| Good Points: Handy for the centre of York |
| Bad Points: Parking offsite |
| Further Comments: When booking we were not informed that there was no parking on site. We were not informed that we would have to leave our car in a public car park and that there would be an extra cost involved. The car park turned out to be OK as there was camera surveylance. The cost was ᅡᆪ12 per day, not too bad for York but expensive if staying for a week. |

| Good Points: Very clean, staff very freindly and helpfull, hotel situated perfectley for york town centre. |
| Bad Points: Room was small,if we had paid full price we would not have been very happy at all, no wardrobe which was ok for one night but not if staying longer, parking very poor. |
| Further Comments: should have been informed of the poor parking, the hotel should push the location as it is perfect for york town, the decor is very good and the lounge relaxing, staff very freindly and helpfull, will stay again when visiting york. |

| Good Points: Clean, modern rooms. Nice bathroom with big shower. Central location. |
| Bad Points: Noisy! |
| Further Comments: We were positioned on the side of the hotel directly above the bins and every morning at 5 to 6am, they would wheel the bins up and down the alley to empty them. As our window did not shut properly, this woke us up both mornings. Had a feeling we were given a smaller room as the rooms on the front of the hotel had much bigger windows. Overall though, this was a good hotel and very modern and clean. I would recommend it as it was centrally located to York and only a couple of minutes walk to the centre. |

| Good Points: Nice rooms, chair doesnt fit in small space between sofa and tv, rather amusing to try to use |
| Bad Points: The pub next door and the generator under my window..219... |
| Further Comments: I will stay again, better than Hilton and cheaper but will ask for a better room. If not available will go ot Hilton.

| Good Points: Location - due to being near main shopping and leisure area of town |
| Bad Points: Noise - bedroom walls thin and inadequate outside window sound proofing, even closed you could hear voices quite clearly, even although the people were some distance from the hotel. Bad news! especially as the language was foul. |
| Further Comments: Clearer indication that parking is not directly available at the hotel, although parking is available not too far away, at a cost.
Mould on breakfast toast, shows lack of care and attention (it happens) - although it was quickly rectified when pointed out.
A MAJOR benefit would be improved window sound proofing.
Over all view - fair for purpose and cost. |

| Good Points: The shower room. |
| Bad Points: It was noisy with the traffic below and also there was limited car parking facilities meaning we had to spend more than anticipated looking after the motor. |
| Further Comments: It is possible we did not take advantage of everything on offer due to our limited stay. I would have preferred a later check-out but there are not many hotels which do accomodate such requests. The main problem was having to get up at 8am to renew my parking ticket as there were not enough parking facilities provided my the hotel. I would stay again but I would be wiser next time and make sure I think of all essentials before confirming. |

| Further Comments: i felt that the hotel was clean and good value for money, we would definitely reccommend it and probably stay again if we decided to go back to york. We didnt eat in the restaurant but thought it looked nice however, maybe slightly over priced for breakfast! However you do not have to eat in the hotel and there is a weatherspoons just over the road which offers good breakfasts quite decently priced. |

| Good Points: Modern, comfortable Scandanavian style rooms and restaurant |
| Bad Points: A bit warm and so the choice was between being too warm or opening the window and letting in the street noise |
| Further Comments: A modern and comfortable hotel, with fine restaurant close to the Castle and museum. Reasonably quiet and good value for money. |
