Further Comments: This is what I would call a Battery Hotel. It is poorly constructed - the corridor floorboards creak badly when simply being walked on. We had a few late night people going past and the noise from their passing woke us up repeatedly. The rooms are not only small but positively cramped. A Youth Hostel would have been more comfortable. The staff need more admin training - they tried to charge us for a breakfast we hadn't ordered and then argued that we had actually had breakfast even though we were checking out 10 minutes before they even started serving breakfgast to guests.

Good Points: extremely clean, well maintained, unevasively hospitable,
Bad Points: up and down stairs to get to room,
Further Comments: good value for money, extremely well maintained. next to railway station, but did not disturb us at all, despite being mid week. lost a watch during stay, staff found it in bedroom and it was promptly returned to me at my home address, carefully packaged. thats what I call service.

Good Points: Friendly staff. The room was adequately equipped for the price and was perfectly comfortable. The restaurant menu was good and the evening meal very enjoyable.
Bad Points: The noise during the night; doors banging, guests talking and laughing, and footsteps tramping around until the small hours.
Further Comments: The worst night I've ever spent in a UK hotel. It was after 5am before I fell asleep, and I checked out after the first night although I'd booked for four. Thre was no apology from the receptionist - the manager was unavailable - and I was required to pay in full for the one night I'd stayed.

Good Points: Cosy, clean roon. Good restaurant
Bad Points: Poor parking arrangements, TV did not work well, too many smoking areas.

Bad Points: There is no lift so you have to carry all luggage by stairs.
Further Comments: Was a good stay overall. We only had 2 nights so we didn't have the time to view everything.

Good Points: staff very friendly and helpfull, nice breakfast, hotel very clean.
Bad Points: bar didn't open at lunch,tv in room not a good picture,plus hotel corridors very thin it was very noisy when people came back to there rooms
Further Comments: hotel in not a very nice area nowhere to have a nice meal at lunch time, thought you could get a train to the nec from the near by station but was told you had to go to new street first, got a taxi to nec cost ￂﾣ20 would have stayed in hotel near airport.
