Good Points: Location was fantastic, the interior and reception/waiting areas really nice the staff definately belong in a 4* star hotel they were very helpful and looked to enjoy helping you. The breakfast was delicious and a good variety. The bed was extremely comfortable and a power shower is always a bonus! The hotel staff were also very accomodating in finding us a smoking room and we managed to get a sea view which was great.
Bad Points: The room wasn't as big as I expected, there was no iron in the room only a trouser press and although there was an ironing room downstairs, one of these irons was broken and the lights in the room didn't work at all. Ironing in the dark is both dangerous and not practical but I struggled through! The door to the room was rattling quite a bit with the high winds on occassion and sounded like someone trying to get in our room, this wasn't enough to annoy us but stil worth a mention.
Further Comments: All in all this is a beautiful hotel and the service is well worth the room rates. The hotel may not be my first choice if I returned to Brighton but I would certainly consider it and recommend it to others.

Good Points: Proximity to conference centre and town, sea view.
Bad Points: Although clean, some furnishings and fittings were poor - 1 visible stains on furniture; 2 top kept falling off cold water tap in bathroom. Very noisy corridor especially in morning.
Further Comments: Staff at reception very efficient, car parking facility good - again staff helpful. However, despite check in from 2.00pm room not available until approx.2.30. Breakfast ordered through room service not complete - items ordered omitted. Tea & coffee facilities ok but rather stingy - 2 teabags meant that only morning tea could be made and not in evening. Toiletries not replaced on day 2 of stay - left overs had to be used.

Good Points: The hotel was central and the staff were very helpful, the breakfast was excellent.
Bad Points: Our room faced to the rear and we got the sounds of the air condition plant

Bad Points: The double glazing was damaged and being on a main road the noise was anoying.

Good Points: Very close to where we wanted to go (brighton centre), very clean with beautiful breakfast.Shower was very hot.
Bad Points: Not enough parking, car park was full when we arrived. Very noisy at night with late night clubbers.
Further Comments: Hotel is very old with a lot of period features and was obviously very grand in its time, still looks very posh.Looks like it need major work done on it, got the feeling that in 50 years from now it won`t be there,think it was a lot of money for what we got, other hotels offer pools and gym ect for less money.

Good Points: The room was lovely, with the large windows giving lots of light and making the room feel so bright and airy and comfortable.
Further Comments: The breakfast buffet was lovely, but becasue it was all self service, we felt a bit ignored by the staff- no one offered us tea or coffee- eventually we had to ask. But everything else about our stay was lovely, and it wont stop us from staying again!

Bad Points: Noisy , carpets and chairs in bedroom were not very clean ,, noisy floor boards , some of the soft lighting in bedroom didn't seem to work, staff on arrival were not very friendly
Further Comments: I didn't realise that we were nearly on the top floor and I admit that we should have mentioned that my husband had ( in the last week) found out that he had had a mild heart attack , and as I do not like lifts we decided to walk up the stairs to the room ( again i admit that that was our choice to walk up the stairs), but I hasten to add we had a lot of trouble finding our room as the numbers were confusing !!!!!!!!!!and no one offered to carry our case even though they knew that we were going to try walking the stairs . Breakfast was pleasant and the staff were much more helpful . The carpark attendant seem to question the fact that we had already paid |( on arrival ) for the extortionate parking fee..and complained in the morning when we wanted to leave that our car was parked behind another and he said that would make it difficult to get the car out ( bear in mind that he parked it there in the first place ) So all in all it was not a pleasant experience
