Good Points: The individual-ness of our accommodation, more like a country house than a hotel
Bad Points: The avocado bathroom dated the dￃﾩcor, but otherwise the room had a quaint charm

Further Comments: Charming, unpretentious country house set in beautiful grounds. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Relaxed atmosphere with roaring fire in bar. 3 course dinner for ￂﾣ23. Great choices at breakfast other than the usual british cooked breakfast. All in all great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Good Points: It was clean and tidy and breakfast was freshly cooked and was hot. Plenty Tea and toast again freshly made.
Bad Points: I was in a very small single room at the back of the hotel. Only 5 TV channels. 24 hr news would have been better!

Good Points: pleasant situation, clean and well decorated rooms, public areas well kept and welcoming.
Bad Points: shower difficult to operate and sharper knives needed in the restaurant.
Further Comments: excellent accommodation and location, will use again.

Good Points: Clean and comfortable oozing olde worlde charm; extensive facilities to support the getaway from it all type of visitor who's on holiday.
Bad Points: No wireless internet access combined with no mobile phone coverage means I'd be very unlikely to stay there again on the basis 99% of my hotel stays are business orientated. Unfortunately this hotel is not geared towards the business traveller. I'm not complaining about this, just stating why I'd be unlikely to use this hotel again.
Further Comments: Overall the place is on a par with similar places I have stayed at and offers plenty of country charm; an excellent local Ale and real log fire add to the experience. It was also cleaner than most similar hotels, and the decor was in good order. The bathroom/shower was the least impressive aspect of the room. The public areas of the hotel were very nice. An ideal place to stay on a pleasure basis, but has little to offer the business traveller in terms of essential communications (email/mobile phone). Installing a Wi-Fi network would address both issues as Skype users would make their calls over the internet.

Good Points: freindly staff good size room cosy atmosphere
Bad Points: very quiet in dining room especially when dining solo
Further Comments: stay was comfortable staff accomadating only comment is a little music in the dining area would not go a miss

Bad Points: Nothing although hot water was slow coming through
Further Comments: Pleasantly surprised with hotel. This was a last meeting booking and the hotel was described as a little Gem which being a cynic I didn't believe but it was true. Service was excellent, setting beautiful and food was extremely good and very well presented.

Further Comments: We enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was quiet and convenient for the area. Atmosphere realaxed and restful. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant. Some of the facilities were a bit dated and inappropriate: Shower old and poorly functioning Duvet cover would not fasten bedside cabinets covered with foam packing to protect them (suggest to use a cloth or glass cover)
