Good Points: comfortable, clean with coffee and tea making facilities. Good shower.
Bad Points: No shelving in the bathroom to place any objects, ie: toothbrush/paste. We had to keep everything normally used in a bathroom on the floor.
Further Comments: Style, staff, accommodation very adequate for the price band of this Hotel. Would use again if on a short stay in Brighton.

Good Points: A relatively quiet location

Further Comments: I didn't really have to interact much with the staff, which indicates that things ran smoothly (but I cannot really comment on their friendliness and or helpfulness!) It was a good stay, the room was excellent for the price we paid, the bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. There was a strange atmosphere in that we felt like the only people in the hotel, but this was also a good thing (we were never disturbed by staff or other guests, and it was nice and quiet).

Bad Points: very poor value for money-the room was extremely small.
Further Comments: the hotel staff had a take it or leave it attitude when we asked if we could have a bigger room.We would not stay in the same hotel again.

Bad Points: small & very dirty window. skinny pillows. expensive for what it was.
Further Comments: The main reason I would recomend this hotel is that it will take a one night booking.

Good Points: The location was very good.
Bad Points: The bed and breakfast service was not great. Toast delivered, then butter 5 minutes later!
Further Comments: It was ok, we would go back there for a day or two's stay!

Good Points: right on the seafront
Further Comments: clean basic rooms bath was hard to get in and out of <sides were too high> pleasant reception area friendly helpful staff beds were too soft for my liking but you cant choose that beforehand have stayed in far far worse hotels

Further Comments: Overall we all enjoyed our stay in The Kings. Staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean (except the windows)and comfortable. The fact that they supply shower/hair gel and handwash, hairdrier and coffee, tea etc is a bonus. We will definitely be back but as mentioned above we will be asking for a second floor room to avoid the staff playing music at 6.30am!!!!

Good Points: The location,the genuine approach and nature etc. of the decor, staff, e.g. not trying to appear more grand than it is.
Bad Points: It was too hot in the bedroom, we would not like to stay in that room( 204)later in the season when it is hotter outside. The windows are fixed shut: but there would be a need for contollable ventillation. The connecting door is marked Fire exit, but is clearly locked. How does that work?
Further Comments: The hotel is well appointed, furnished and decorated, with very well presented and interested staff. The food available is of a sufficiently wide range of menu and price to be attractive to most of the clientelle. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal, which was pleasntly and speedily served, and we considered to be of excellent quality and value. The parking arragements are limited, obviously because of the promenade location, and we were told we could park in the side street, but it all appeared to be zone controlled. Fortunately we were able to park some distance away on the Prom, otherwise that could have been a severe problem. Would it be possible to have a sketch map ( at Reception) of the surrounding streets to show available parking and the relevant limitations? Nonetheless we liked the hotel and will stay there again, when occasion arises.
