Good Points: Big rooms, big bed and general quality of the furnishings. Very favourable impression of quality
Bad Points: Shower not brilliant and the mirror in the bathroom was fitted above the toilet, not above the washbasin - bizarre.
Further Comments: Excellent staff though, who could not have been more accomodating. Would definitely stay there again.

Further Comments: The hotel was very nice indeed, i would have expected a double bed though for the price i paid and a tv of a decent size. The food and restaurant service were excellent, staff very on the ball and friendly, attentive. Food was very good as were all of the facilities. I would stay again. This is a little expensive though for what the room offers, other than that i cant fault the hotel.

Further Comments: I have to stay in a lot of hotels and have particularly high expectations of them which are seldom properly fulfilled. This is one of those rare exceptions. I really couldn't fault Haley's. It is a beautifully maintained Victorian building (2 actually) which is clean and well-furnished in a style which is sympathetic to the building itself. The staff are attentive and efficient and the food is fantastic. Parking is ample. I'm happy to leave a lot of hotels, with Haley's I'll be booking a leisure break with my wife sometime soon. We won't be taking the kids though, they might find it a bit rarified.

Good Points: Beautifully decorated. Stylish and relaxed atmosphere. Really good restaurant. As far from a normal business hotel as you can get!
Further Comments: Excellent - country house style hotel with a great (not cheap) restaurant. Great for a special treat.

Good Points: The comfort of the mattress and high quality pillows and sheets. The windows that opened! The decoration, lighting and beautiful pieces of furniture were aesthetically pleasing. The fresh flowers everywhere were absolutely gorgeous. It was all very tastefully presented without being overstated.
Bad Points: The key to our wing of the hotel was temperamental and we needed assistance to open it. Towels were fairly scratchy, but functional. The toast lying on its side was a bit soggy.
Further Comments: We really enjoyed our visit to Leeds to visit our daughters who are at local Universities. The hotel was beautifully quiet, extemely well positioned for accesss to the city and we would definitely stay again when next visiting Leeds. The hotel was extremely good value for money compared to many other hotels we have stayed in around the country. Having worked in a hotel and with a brother who owns a hotel in Wales, we have some idea of the balance needed to make a stay enjolyable and we reckon you have got it just about perfect. Thank you.

Good Points: Ideal for a weekend away. Excellent decor, clean and well prepared.
Bad Points: Better television reception and much better selection of channels. In 2006 to have only 5 terestial channels and CNN is ridiculous. Extractor fan in bathroom extremely noisy.
Further Comments: This is a good hotel for a weekend break in Leeds, especially Headingley when visiting students at Leeds University. Well run with very pleasant staff. Breakfast is excellent, but evening meal menu is a little stuffy, old-fashioned and over-priced as still aiming towards 'nouveau cuisine' which is a bit 2001! Prices a little high, especially considering there are no leisure facilities, and no mention was made of any 'weekend specials' - I was charged flat rate for 3 night stay.

Further Comments: Very good,comfortable and traditional hotel. Dinner though lacked choice and was expensive for the ingredients - but very well served and prepared.

Further Comments: Excellent value for money at this hotel and the new chef has improved the restaurant immesurably. The best fish and chips we ever had!

Further Comments: The staff could not do enough for you. The library, bar and dining room were very nicely decorated. The English breakfast was freshly cooked with the best sausage I have tasted in a long time. Dinner was everything that one would expect from a restaurant with two AA Rosettes. Excellent.

Further Comments: For a fairly expensive room the decor was looking a bit tired. However, the rest of the hotel was very nice and food very good but at ﾣ135 a night I would think twice in the future.

Good Points: Atmosphere very friendly, staff efficient without being obsequious. Food very good, location perfect.
Bad Points: A few more tea bags and sachets of coffee in the room each day.
Further Comments: There are a limited number of rooms on the ground floor and no lift. we were ok but I don't think I was made aware of this on the website. However I am really just being picky. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, the staff welcoming, helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were tasty and a generous quantity without being over the top. The location was good too with plenty of other places to eat nearby and easy access to both the centre and the outskirts of Leeds.

Good Points: the setting and the general atmosphere of the hotel
Further Comments: the hotel helped contribute to a fantastic weekend, the setting is perfect being close enough to reach the nightlife easily but being far enough away to forget about it entirely once back at the hotel. the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Further Comments: we were impressed when we drove in to the driveway. Staff were very friendly. All in all we had a lovely stay. We were going to Ascot and had a great time there aswell.
