Good Points: Hotel,grounds,staff and service all excellent
Bad Points: Food was average to poor Tinned cherries and tomatoes not a good idea Meat fatty and tough. Menu from 1970s sorry

Good Points: The size of the room was good and decor was very nice. Very much enjoyed the spa bath.
Further Comments: Great stay. Staff where superb and very freindly. Top marks to the chef. We will be coming back.

Good Points: Location of the hotel is good for tourists visiting the North East, grounds of the hotel were pleasent

Good Points: Lovely setting; comfortable, friendly and welcoming hotel and staff
Further Comments: We felt that everything was very god; an easy atmosphere in the hotel and helpful staff, even wiling to prepare packed lunch. Beautiful setting too.

Good Points: the building it was in was very aesthetically pleasing (Whitworth hall). The rooms were a little small but had everything that we needed and a lovely view. The deers in the park made it nice as we could go out and see them.
Bad Points: Small rooms and could hear any bit of noise through the walls.
Further Comments: I enjoyed my stay. THe function in the Whitworth suite for my college prom was brilliant and the staff were very nice and helpful.The staff did all they could to help us when we needed it. I expected the rooms to be a bit nicer for the money I paid but the actual setting made up for that. I knew about the deers in the park and they did not fail to meet my pre concieved ideas about it. The food at the function was a little dissapointing for the money we had paid, small portions and the yorkshire puddings tasted like cardboard!! All in all I enjoyed my stay and would definatly stay again as it is situated in such a lovely place.

Good Points: Lovely rural setting in a deer park. Very nice reception area, bar and restaurant. The rooms were excellent - spacious well equipped and very clean.
Further Comments: This hotel was beautifully appointed - a great place for a quiet get-away-from-it-all break. The grounds were picturesque with lovely walks and tame deer. The library (four seasons) restaurant was cosy and beautifully laid out with a super atmosphere. The food was excelllent and all the family had a lovely time. Service and friendliness of the staff was first class.

Further Comments: A very pleasant experience this being my first overnight hotel stay on my own. Dinner at Shafto's was very nice and breakfast in the library resturant was delightful.
