Good Points: The location and view was good. The opportunity to sit outside on the terrace is a plus.
Bad Points: The decor was dated and unmatched. The room was in need of repair.
Further Comments: The standard of accommodation was adequate but unimpressive. However, if you have cash to spare, the location was good for wandering around Clifton and seeing the bridge. The views were stunning.

Further Comments: I know the Avon Gorge Hotel (and it's limitations) of old, but enjoyed my stay.

Good Points: Great terrace with stunning views of the Clifton Suspension bridge. Great place to be on a beautiful afternoon/evening

The decor of the room was a little dated compared to the rest of the hotel. However it is clean and the basic rooms were moderate in size.

Further Comments: My traveling partners and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. A fantastic view and a friendly service surely made us feel relaxed from our long trip. Nice room facilities and beautiful bathroom. breakfast was served with a full of selections. Interior of the hotel was decorated beautifully and outside terrace had a view of another world which I believe you can never experience at any other hotels in Bristol. I strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a sophisticated and romantic atmosphere.

Good Points: Attentive staff - great location - good food. Bedroom furnishing showing signs of tiredness but good level of cleanliness
Bad Points: Unfortunately temporary scaffolding outside bedroom window impaired the fantastic view but room upgrade given f.o.c. to compensate
Further Comments: The hotel was the best location in Bristol and probably surrounding areas. Bristol has plenty to offer the tourist and leisure visitor and we will definitely return, both to the City and to this hotel

Good Points: lovely big room overlooking the Clifton Suspension Bridge
Further Comments: The hotel and grounds are lovely.The only problem is the parking.we were lucky to find a space in the road opposite the hotel on arrival and later in the evening managed to park in the tiny hotel car park. i wouldn't let this stop me from staying again though as the hotel and location are lovely.

Good Points: The Hotel has a lovely atmosphere and it has beautiful surroundings. The staff are also very pleasant.
Further Comments: I would definately like to stay at the Avon Gorge Hotel again, the restaurant is very nice and the selection of food is good. The White Lion Bar is very relaxed. I would have liked to of been informed of how much it would cost to upgrade to a room with a view. By the time we asked the hotel when we checked in, they had no double rooms left with a view.

Good Points: The view of the Avon river and the clifton suspension bridge were spectacular
Bad Points: Decor needed attention.
Further Comments: The staff were all very efficient and helpful. Parking was a little tricky. It would help if allocated spaces were available for each room. Lap top broadband facility was only available in the lounge not in the rooms. Overall we had a very enjoyable four nights stay and would definately stay here again.

Good Points: The position of the hotel.The bathroom was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a welcoming atmosphere
Bad Points: We had hoped for a view over the Avon Gorge but did book late. The room was great though
Further Comments: We really booked the hotel because of its position next to the suspension bridge & gorge. The hotel itself was much nicer than I expected, and much better than when I lived in Bristol 20 years ago! The standard of accomodation, food, and professional & friendly attitude of the staff was very high. I would recommend this hotel to others. It is traditionally decorated but tasteful and comfortable.
