Good Points: Cheap, clean and convenient for City Centre
Further Comments: The check in process was quick and hassle free, and the accommodaion itself was perfectly acceptable for a hotel of it's type. It's excellent value for a couple of nights stay, and the staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel is well located for a visit to Birmingham city centre.

Good Points: Conveniently placed hotel. Quiet. Good breakfast quiet.
Bad Points: Room could do with refurbishment.
Further Comments: The hotel is quiet, most rooms are in a motel style courtyard. Our room was on first floor and could have done with a refurbishment but my daughter and her husband were on the floor above and their room was much better. The heating in our room was on full and we couldn't turn it down, lightbulbs were not working and the window stay in the bathroom was missing which meant we had to prop the window open with the bathmat. The room was clean. The breakfast was very good. The check in and check out process was efficient.

Bad Points: Basic features. Having the door to the room right next to the car park.
Further Comments: Generally an ok hotel. Was only there for one night and so was adequate for its purpose.

Good Points: Locality to required business event, comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was good
Bad Points: Shower was poor and water jets weak, TV reception was poor and could not watch it for too long as it was fuzzy. The shower gel/shampoo was in a sachet which was difficult to open with wet hands

Further Comments: Previous reviews on the web site complained about the noise. We did not have this problem because we were on the fourth floor, but I can see that it could be an issue on lower and paticularly the ground floor.

Further Comments: You have to go outside to reach most of the accomodation, and the option to have chosen ground floor if required would have been good.

Bad Points: Shower had rust on the rails and was not very clean cobwebs around lights ahd been there for some time
Further Comments: Clean reception area and dining room poor for rooms and overpriced for drinks, took a long time for food to come from time of ordering to recieving, steak was not very good quality either.

Good Points: The rooms are quiet, clean and tidy with all the ameneties you would expect
Further Comments: The Apollo Hotel is now my preferred place to stay when in Birmingham, the facilities are excellent and the staff are always cheerful and very helpful. Add to that ample parking and a superb buffet breakfast and it all makes for a very good break

Bad Points: A little noisey.
Further Comments: I sugest a little attention to decor and furnicher, however its kept clean and it has breakfest included, and my dog could stay free of charge no questions asked, brilliant, excellente.
