Good Points: Comfortable, Clean, adequate facilities, nice big shower, good beds
Bad Points: restaurant facilities could be better with a wider offering, could do with being closer to the town.
Further Comments: I would like to have known befor how difficult is is to get to the NEC due to heavy traffic, even with the toll road travel time was appalling

Bad Points: Room located near a store room. Noise from door shutting 6-7am onawrds!

Further Comments: for the price of a double room for one night i think is too expensive also the eating area could do with being away from the check in desk as this got quite busy in the morning.

Bad Points: Eveyone was very friendly and helpful. Only problem was the accents - both ways of course :-)

Good Points: the beds were comfortable. We liked it that there was a bar where we could meet friends.
Bad Points: Our radiator wasn't workng and ,although we were given a fan heater, the room was very cold when we went in at night. An apology wouldn't have gone amiss either.

Good Points: As always the rooms at Express Inns are very comfortable
Bad Points: The 'limited' menu is very poor to a point that the staff suggested that I order a takeaway from the local chinese/indian, menus of which were at reception!!!!
Further Comments: The reception and bar were manned by three young ladies. Every time someone required attention they had to shout through to a room at the rear of reception to get someone's attention. I think at ﾣ72.50 for a room the least I would expect would be attentive staff.

Good Points: Easy to find, clean and tidy
Bad Points: I found the general lighting level in the room poor which was not helped by one light not working. I also found the pillows uncomfortable
Further Comments: I have stayed in Holiday Inns before and therefore knew what to expect. Generally I prefer the breakfast offer in most other comparable chain hotels. The control of electricity in rooms by the key card means that in very cold weather, as on the day I stayed, the bedrooms are uncomfortably cold on arrival. Most days of the year this is not an issue but at very low temperatures the operators should be able to pre-heat rooms

Further Comments: Active hotels had not advised the hotel of my booking. Your reservation number was Acitve hotels and not Holiday Inns. Lengthy check whilst room was found. Will not use Active Hotels again

Good Points: Clean and modernly decorated rooms. Good power shower!
Bad Points: No bath - just a shower cubicle.
Further Comments: Good access to the M6 Toll. Breakfast is continental buffet only, but good selection of foods including croissants, brown/white bread, rolls, jams, cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc. Overall, handy for a couple of nights stay. I would stay here again should the need arise.

Further Comments: The staff were very help espically Charlotte who we thought did a very good job of runnig the reception area although she has only been there 3mths she showed excellent customer skills well done

Good Points: It was functional and comfortable.
Further Comments: As I arrived quite late in the evening, I missed the restaurant, but the lady at reception was very helpful when I asked if I could order a takeaway. She said she would call me in my room when it arrived and when the takeaway came from a local Indian restaraunt it was a veritable feast. Although I had ordered for one just over a tenner it was excellent value and delicious.

Good Points: Spotlessly clean, quiet, light and airy, comfortable beds, nicely decorated. A vry relaxing stay.
Bad Points: More teabags in the room please. My Mum loves her cups of tea.
Further Comments: Never having been to Lichfield or the surrounding area before, we were unsure of where we would find evening meals. The receptionist suggested a pub/restaurant in Wall - one mile away. This turned out to be the best pub meal we have ever had. I didn't see any mention of local facilities in the reception area of the hotel although there were a large number of leaflets for tourist attractions. Perhaps you could keep a list of places that visitors have been to, and have recommended, for lunches and evening meals, along with directions on how to get there.

Further Comments: Absolutely no problems. Convenient location for Sutton Coldfield / Birmingham (North). Have stayed twice before and will stay again.

Good Points: Cleanliness and facilities
Bad Points: I was not able to purchase anything by cash when I requested some nuts at 10.50pm. I was informed that they could only put it on my card. I did not want this to go on my card, so I could not make the purchase.
Further Comments: The rooms and associated facilities are good. However when requesting transport from the hotel to a local establishement, we requested the receptionist to tell the establishement to allow at least 10 minutes. She told them to come immediately and as such we had to leave our drinks.

Good Points: I thought for the type of accommodation you offer you had the edge over similar establishments & I particularly like the idea of including a very nice continental breakfast
Bad Points: Instead of shelf space that you have include instead draw space for neatness of clothes
