Good Points: centrally located.
Bad Points: room was very small, no parking facilities, no view from room window. meals were expensive, so decided to eat out. Wedding on at the time, so other guests were not catered for.
Further Comments: as above.

Good Points: Beautifully refurbished, great location on the Thames. Great value compared with a London hotel, yet very convenient to London. The hotel is a collection of buildings and we were across the street from the original house, probably in a former stablehouse or other outbuilding. The refurbishment they had undertaken was absolutely a success.
Bad Points: Metal stairs outside our room were occasionally noisy.
Further Comments: This is a quaint old hotel, but the suite itself was beautifully appointed and modern with power shower. Breakfast was not included which was unclear to me from the site.

Bad Points: My mom is elderly and could not manage the stairs. But I understand why you are not able to put a lift in. I would definitely return with my husband, but not my mom.

Good Points: Very well appointed bedroom with good space and light; excellent bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful.
Bad Points: The room was in an annexe on the first floor level accessed by a steel external fire escape type staircase. Every time someone walked up and down the staircase we were disturbed: 1am, 2.30am, 3am, 6.20am. The access to the rooms to the rear was along a similar steel walkway and the noise from wheeled suitcases being rolled along it was horrific. This side of the experience is why we have graded the overall experience as adequate...without the good pointgs it would have been awful and poor value for money
Further Comments: The hotel and staff were high grade and the room in any other location would have been 5 star...unfortunately absolutely no thought had been put into the design of the annexe access and its impact on guests. The next question is a qualified yes.

Good Points: lovely room with view of the river
Bad Points: the design of the shower was poor. water went everywhere
Further Comments: very well located. Easy walking distance to railway station and Windsor Castle. We were a bit turned off that a pot of tea for two was six pounds. We thought that was a bit much and turned us off eating at the restaurant.

Good Points: There was air conditioning in the room and it worked.
Bad Points: Poor shower.
Further Comments: I have stayed several times at the Christopher Wren's House Hotel so I knew what to expect. Much of the hotel is very old and this means that you shouldn't expect the normal standard rooms you find in many chain hotels. Instead the age of the hotel is used to make the rooms individual and of character. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is excellent. Prices for extras are reasonable but room rates are high unless you can get a deal. The shower in my room was not as powerful as I would like but this is one of the sacrifices you make if you stay in an historic hotel.

Good Points: The bathroom
Bad Points: The bedroom; it was poorly lit, cramped, dreary furnishings, shabby furniture.the window (which couldn't be locked) overlooked a flat roof 7 air conditioning vents.
Further Comments: Our room was on the first floor above the area used for parties & discos. We were kept awake for two nights by the noise. If we had known, we would have asked for a room away from this area, if possible
