Frederick House Hotel near Edinburgh: Edinburgh Hotels

Good Points: I liked the proximity to Prince's Street and the Royal Mile. The Breakfast at Rick's was good.
Bad Points: Bathroom: Towel Rack was falling off the door, the towels were absolutely disgusting...it smelled like they hadn't been washed in years, the tub leaked onto the floor. Rest of room: Room was dingy, limited television channels.

Good Points: perfect city centre location. Quiet - apart from as mentioned below. excellent breakfast in nice cafe.
Bad Points: only the creaky floor boards in the corridors and possibly in other rooms, woke me up early once people began to move in the morning. Decour maybe a bit dated, but that doesnt particularly bother me.
Further Comments: Ideally placed Hotel in the City centre, and at reasonable rate. Would stay there again for above reasons. Breakfast in cafe over the road on production of voucher - I liked this a lot. Hotel staff efficient and friendly. No Bar (I dont think there was anyway), however this to me is a bonus as it greatly increases the chance of a good nights sleep.

Further Comments: I had elderly parents with me and the location was perfect since we were just off the main road for buses and shops and short distance from the station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Further Comments: The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly and even the housekeeping staff were friendly and did a great job. Overall the stay was pleasant and enjoyable.

Good Points: La cittￃﾠ di Edinburgo e nel complesso tutta la Scozia. Compresi i vari pernottamenti effettuati.
Bad Points: Poche cose, tra le quali l'obbligatorietￃﾠ di effettuare la colazione solo in quelle due ore mattutine.
Further Comments: Il soggiorno ￃﾨ stato complessivamente molto soddisfacente.

Further Comments: The hotel staff were very potite and welcoming. The breakfast was served in a hotel across the street. The choice of menu was limited and the food could have been hotter. If we had known these details we probably would not have booked this particular hotel. However this is not a complaint, we were very comfortable. It would have been nice to have a bar on site to enjoy a nightcap before retiring.

Good Points: Although in the centre of Edinburgh there was a quiet and restful atmosphere for a weary traveller. The reception staff were friendly and helpful
Bad Points: I did not mind going over the road with the breakfast voucher system - but I personally would haver preferred breakfast in lighter, brighter but quieter surroundings than they gave.

Good Points: Good location. Being able to leave our luggage on both the day of arrival and day of departure. Being in a 3 bedded family room, allowing myself and 2 daughters to have a bed to ourselves.
Further Comments: I found the hotel to have a good atmosphere. Our room was large, clean and well equipped. I found the arrangement for breakfast a bit strange at first, but we all really enjoyed our food and the customer service was excellent. As mentioned above, I really appreciated the fact that we could leave all our luggage in te hotel on our arrival and again on our departure day, so we were able to make the most of our time in Edinburgh.
