Good Points: good location and friendly staff
Bad Points: obviously smoking happening in some of the adjacent rooms which could be smelt in our room and was unpleasant

Good Points: Central location, staff very friendly, facilities were ideal.
Bad Points: It was too hot, and we had to sleep with the windows open which was very noisy especially since it was a Sat night and the street was very busy with drinkers. The decor was tired and the net curtains over windows were filthy.
Further Comments: The stay at the hotel was very pleasant irrespective of the comments above and will be back.

Good Points: Water was quite hot and good pressure which is a good plus.
Bad Points: Heating was on a timer when it was not on at 9p.m-2 a.m. !! Was quite cold so we had to ask for a mobile radiator and the security did not know how to change the timer..

Good Points: Location , perfect for shopping , pubs and restaurants
Further Comments: Easily accessible from the train station 5 minute stroll , great little pub just across the road , the Queens ,and great central location

Bad Points: View of stone wall outside window - though not particularly important for a one night stay during dark winter months.
Further Comments: Enjoyed our stay. Hotel very central for our requirements. Good breakfast offering a variety of food in Rick's restaurant.

Further Comments: The breakfast at Ricks across the road was very poor; the food was only just warm, and the service poor.

Further Comments: Cheap with a good location, it wasn't a dirty hotel just not the newest.

Good Points: Very quiet, comfortable beds with crisp sheets, good shower
Bad Points: Net curtains could do with a wash!
Further Comments: The hotel was fine for our purposes - good location and pleasant, quiet room. Reception staff varied: all were efficient but ranged from a girl who was rather cool with us to a very helpful man. Breakfast at Rick's was good - the staff there are friendly and made us special coffee on the second day which was superb.

Bad Points: Breakfast: it was served in a separate house on the other side of a busy street, on sunday mornings it is served only after 8 a.m. and you are not offered anything if you have to leave the hotel earlier than that, it is a non-buffet breakfast so you have to order and wait, you are not offered addtional food or drink after the meal is served, the cooked breakfast is rather greasy, and there is noisy music in the restaurant. Staff is kind.
