Further Comments: UPON ARRIVAL WAS GREETED BY FRIENDLY STAFF, WHO WERE ONLY TO WILLING TO EXCHANGE MY SINGLE ROOM FOR A DOUBLE - WHICH HAD BEEN MY 'ORIGINAL' REQUEST., WITHOUT ANY FUSS OR BOTHER. THE ROOM ITSELF WAS VERY CLEAN , AND AGAIN , WAS PLESENTLY SURPRISED,ESPECIALLY AFTER READING A FEW OF THE 'REVIEWS'. ALL IN ALL, FEW IN ANY COMPLAINTS- EXCEPT THAT 'MAYBE' A WEEKEND BREAKFAST 'MIGHT' BE INCLUDED IN A WEEKEND STAY? TWO MINUTES WALK FROM THE STATION, A FEW MORE TO THE BULLRING, SO ? ALL IN ALL, DUE TO ITS STAFF- A VERY PLESENT STAY. NO PROBLEMS IN RECOMMENDING IT TO ANYONE.

Further Comments: the hotel is great and staff where great as i told them that i was deaf, and they helped without going over the top ie raisung their voices treated me as a equal.

Good Points: you are able to get another available room when yours is not ready. Also a double room for the same price was even offered which was excellent, warm hotel. good value for money if booked over the internet

Good Points: Basic Hotel no frills with double bed (for one person) and ensuite bathroom ideal for Birmingham New Street Station
Bad Points: Breakfast extra
Further Comments: this is a good no frills hotel next to the main station in Birmingham which direct links with the NEC and Birmingham International. The only draw back is late at night going down some rather dingy smelly steps to Station Street from the station. One lamp was loose on the wall and carpets stained. The ceilings are tiles some stained from age and water leaks from rooms above. I think it could be noisy weekends if you get a front room. breakfast is an extra ￃﾂￂﾣ8 extra so have not tried it. This hotel is good if you can book well in advance and get a cheap rate.

Bad Points: Bathroom to small forcomfortable use and high step entrance.Noise from adjoining room loud untill 2 -30am bed and floor creaking etc..

Bad Points: The room was dirty, the bath had someone elses hairs in it! and the bed was lumpy. There was a bright orange street light outside my window and the curtains didn't shut properly thus my room was lit up like a Christmas tree.

Further Comments: The hotel is in an excellent position and we thought it was very good value for money. The room was a good size and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
