Good Points: spacious, clean, friendly, excellent food.
Bad Points: noise from other rooms. ie movement and running water. Were charged for morning newspaper.

Good Points: Nice touches...china cups/saucers in room, chocs, flowers and mints, bath robes. Lovely atmosphere throughout..will definately come again.
Further Comments: Booking on line was so easy and information regarding the hotel was readily available so knew beforehand what to expect and the hotel certainly didn't disappoint.

Bad Points: Insonorisation de la chambre insuffisante
Further Comments: Aucune surprise en arrivant sur place, les prestations correspondant ￃﾃￂﾠ ce qui avait ￃﾃￂﾩtￃﾃￂﾩ indiquￃﾃￂﾩ lors de la rￃﾃￂﾩservation. Trￃﾃￂﾨs bon accueil et petit-dￃﾃￂﾩjeuner anglais trￃﾃￂﾨs agrￃﾃￂﾩable.

Good Points: Loved the location, off street parking.
Bad Points: Pool not warm enough for us.
Further Comments: What a gem. Rooms bigger than expected and so well appointed. Very comfortable bed. Staff so friendly and helpful. Rye is high on our quaint scale and recommend the Rye for great shop browsing.

Good Points: In the heart of the town. The tarif was reasonable for the area. We were left alone to get on with it, and we loved being able to come and go through the courtyard. The staff were extremely oblidging, although as ive said we didnt need to see them really. Loved the complimentary items in the bathroom. Quality of breakfast was good.
Bad Points: Although the rooms are very clean and tidy, the pink floral decor is slightly dated. New curtains and bed linen covers would make an enormous difference. Bath was a bit small for my liking. And Streamroom a very strange individual cubical!

Good Points: Location in Rye ideal, extremely pleasant surroundings, for a small hotel very well appointed, decor and interior design exceptional, hotel staff superb, warm and friendly, made our stay a very pleasant experience. All meals were freshly cooked using local produce, and though not exactly restaurant meals were really enjoyable, and good value for money as were the wine lists and drinks generally. In what I consider generally of British hotels of which I consider the majority are rip-off compared to hotels on the continent, this hotel is a 'little gem'
Bad Points: Due to hotel's popularity could only get room with a shower, which we find was rather cramped. Room was a little small, but adequate for a short stay. On reflection, that having spent 7 nights there, that perhaps was a little bit long for the accommodation on offer.
Further Comments: I believe I have covered sufficient of the review in my first statement, I can only re-iterate that I am of the opinion that this hotel could hold it's own against any opposition.

Good Points: Excellent location within Rye centre. Very good breakfast.Comfortable clean room.
Further Comments: Excellent hotel in a great location near the centre of Rye. Walking distance to all shops,restaraunts & pubs. Breakfast in hotel was very good, the staff very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and also had tea and coffee facilities. Overall great value for money as I booked last minute through active hotels website.

Further Comments: The staff were friendly and approachable. Would have like to have been warned that work was being done on the building prior to getting there.

Bad Points: in need of a little update, maybe some light background music in the bar and the restaurant.
Further Comments: very clean, all the staff were very keen to please, the hotel had some work going on at the side of the building so it didnt look that great with all the scaffolding, but we still enjoyed our stay, we would return, because we like the little town and the hotel is very well placed in rye.

Good Points: Good location, breakfast, and room.
Bad Points: There ws building work going on which posed access problems.
Further Comments: The Active Hotels rate made it very good value. Booking directly it would not be.
