Good Points: We could work all the gadgets without asking for help, and it was convenient for the cricket.
Bad Points: Check in time at 3pm is a little late - 1pm would be nice.
Further Comments: We had all the necessary information before we arrived - perhaps there could be a better map, and also no local brochures in reception or in the rooms.

Good Points: Manageress and staff very friendly and helpful. Food nicely presented. Breakfast excellent
Bad Points: Bar area too small to accommodate both hotel guests and the public waiting to be seated at their dinner table. Exit from Car Park much too narrow for the larger car
Further Comments: Generally the stay was very good, especially the hospitality of the Manageress and her staff who made you feel most welcome. For the price, the spacious room and the hearty breakfast were excellent value for money. I would certainly go back to stay there again.

Good Points: The Bar area and the bistro were very nice and relaxing
Bad Points: The Room was small and not in the best decorative state. The bathroom wasn't particularly clean and looked like it needed modernising.
Further Comments: On arrival at the hotel, the check in staff weren't particulaly friendly and welcoming. Once checked in to the room, i decided to have a drink in the bar and have a bite to eat in the bistro. The bar area and bistro were very comfortable and food was good, however service was poor! The bar was often unattended and eventually I had to ask someone if they were serving to get a drink. I had to also get myself a menu for the restaurant from the bar, as i had asked someone twice to see a menu and it never showed up. Even at breakfast, I had to get up from where i was sitting in the restaurant to ask someone for coffee. Overall the service was very poor and it was evident that the staff lacked basic training! As a result my experience of the hotel wasn't a good one and i will not be staying there again.

Good Points: The room was very comfortable and relaxing, the supply of tea and coffee was great along with the luxury of ﾓreal milkﾔ and complimentary bottled water.
Bad Points: Car Park
Further Comments: I had a very pleasing stay. The only thing I feel that can be criticised is the Car Park exit. Although the exit is very narrow this wasnﾒt too much of a concern, I found the size and amount of potholes quiet alarming. I drive a low profile vehicle, which did scrape on the ground as there was no way of avoiding the deep holes. I work in the area quiet frequently and even though the hotel is of a high standard I would consider car-parking facilities before making a further booking.

Further Comments: We felt very welcomed at the hotel by friendly and helpful staff. The building is full of character and is excellent located in the nice market town of Taunton.

Further Comments: The accomodation was good the staff very helpful and friendly.

Good Points: Layout of the room and 'slit level' bathroom. Suppling a fridge - with REAL milk and bottled water was a welcome touch.
Bad Points: The wall by the toilet had something splashed on it, and it was really warm at night even though the radiator was off.
Further Comments: The hotel was lovely, although the carpark was a bit of a squeeze to get in and out of, and it is ideally positioned in the town. The room was nice and spacious and we loved the layout. It was great to have a fridge in there, and the iron came in handy too. It was great to have a proper carton of milk - not those little pots that nobody can open. The staff were friendly and it would be a pleasure to stay there again.

Good Points: Good location, friendly staff, rooms small but very tidy and comfortable.
Bad Points: Car park entrance and exit a little challenging for a large car.
Further Comments: For the price I thought it was very good value and met all my expectations. There seemed to be a very good team spirit amongst the staff and they were obliging and friendly. The rooms appeared small but the bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom adequate. Bar area was small but well stocked and the cooked breakfast was of a good standard.

Good Points: Easy to check in and up to 4 keys offered per room. Nice spacious room aswell.

Further Comments: There was no glass in the bathroom, the windows did not operate very well and there were no instructions in the room for operating the TV. Otherwise the room was large and comfortable but there was a lot of noise both from the Car Park below my window and particularly from the Fire Door, outside my room door, which was in constant use until late at night and from very early morning. I suspect it was being used as a Staff Exit as the ground floor door was also left to bang very loudly and this echoed throughout the building.

Good Points: The room was spacious and with fresh linen.
Bad Points: The Car park exit needs the pot holes filling in.
Further Comments: I would have liked to have been able to book in earlier, and also had a look at that evenings menu. As it was my party decided to eat in a local restuarant, I dont know but somehow I feel sure we would have had a better meal in the hotel. The full english breakfast was really appreciated, apart from the dry black pudding which was obviuosly due to being warmed for too long. My party noticed that the room bar was empty. As I was picking up the tab I didn't mind, But other guests might.
