Long Island Hotel near Watford: Watford Hotels

Good Points: It was clean and warm, easy to use all facilities.
Bad Points: A bit dated in decor.
Further Comments: The exterior of this hotel is decieving, dont let it turn you off. It is value for money and clean. The staff were helpful and I would use this hotel again. The breakfast was good, although the toaster needs speeding up, the breakfast is self service, staff are on hand to keep the tea and coffe coming. I will come back if I need to do business here again. All in all very good.

Good Points: convenience- for travel to London good range of places to eat in Rickmansworth

Good Points: I found that it catered for everything in regards to facilities, which was very convenient.
Bad Points: I thought that the hotel could be improved in regards to its appearance. If there was another hotel nearby, I probably would have chosen not to stay at Long Island.
Further Comments: The restaurant is a very nice place with very friendly, outgoing and extremely helpful staff. The location was very convenient for where I was going but I strongly suggest that the management of the hotel consider some kind of renovation or makeover for the hotel.

Good Points: Friendliness of your check-in receptionist, who was professional, courteous & extrememly helpful.
Bad Points: Shabby overall. The bathroom needed a good deep clean, and renovation soon. Corridors/hallways dilapidated with holes/wear in carpet, wallpaper peeling off etc.
Further Comments: We were particularly impressed with your receptionist, who, having spotted I have difficulty walking due to a recent knee replacement, came in to work 10 minutes early (5:50am) to assist with my bags.

Further Comments: Having stayed here a number of times before, the room was noticeably better in terms of maintenance and general upkeep. Useful for local rail links into London and handy Tex-Mex restaurant alongside.

Further Comments: the bar and grill was a disgrace bad staffing or i should say bad management.ive had better meals and service in a roadside burger bar and better value for money.plus your staff badge for a tip all the time , for the set up at rickmansworth , you warm most of the food i had on my plate in a microwave,the meat cooked fresh , the rest is pre cooked and warmed to order.im a painter and decorator and have to finish some work i started in a couple of weeks,i have two or three days work and was going to bring my wife for a break but as she enjoys her food and not being asked every two minutes , is every thing ok ? , well a premier inn looks on the cards , thank you

Further Comments: Bathroom windows were steamed up on arrival, hot water pipes were rattling and banging. Main room OK. Breakfast was disgusting, glad I didn't have dinner
