Good Points: Cleanliness and helpful staff
Bad Points: Arrangements for lunch.
| Further Comments: The hotel was of high standard for cleanliness, with helpful staff. The food was quite nice, but being asked to form a queue either side for the hot meal or cold buffet without any idea of what was on offer was not helpful. I would have liked to have at least been able to see the menu on display before having to make a decision on the spur of the moment. Others within the group felt the same way.
The'vegetarian' option turned out to be only a variation of the vegetables made available on the day.( peas and cheese sauce added). |

Good Points: Good location with village and pubs within walking distance.
Bad Points: Rooms were on the small side, breakfast choice and quality was below average.
Further Comments: OK for one nights accommodation, rooms small but clean, parking charge is unusual for an out of town hotel and breakfast is sub standard. The location is good if you prefer a country location but close to a city. The Trout Inn within 15-20 minutes walking distance serves very good food.

Good Points: Convenient location. Large bed in room. Car parking in hotel grounds.
| Further Comments: Room service food was poor quality and very disappointing. A so called Thai curry was very dry with no sauce. On top of that there was a GBP4 tray charge. Better food is served in hotels in Africa. Would strongly recommend guests to go to the local pub (e.g the Trout)for better food at cheaper prices.
Breakfast hours should be extended from 06:30 until 10:00 instead of 07:00 to 09:30.
Internet charges are higher than other hotels...why ? Car parking in hotel car par should be free for guests staying in the hotel accommodation. |

Good Points: its location
Bad Points: rooms a bit small. no mini bar.intrusive air conditioning
| Further Comments: Bar prices extortionate, even bar tender said they were expensive. One tap on shower was partly broken.
noise a real problem, overhead furniture moving in the early hours not on. air conditioning noisy enough to wake us up |

Good Points: Cleanliness, location, general atmosphere and friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Bad Points: Bar was no smoking, and although it was open it was very difficult to get a drink later on at night. Cost of breakfast vs the actual value of it
Further Comments: Very good, I would have like to check in a bit earlier. I would also have liked to book in with the in-house beauty therapist.

Good Points: Nice and modern rooms. Very good breakfast.
Further Comments: The only drawback of this hotel was its location. However, a taxi into the city centre was only about ᆪ6 and there was also a bus stop on Woodstock Road, leading straight into the city centre. (Not sure how frequent the buses were, but we had no problems using them.) We would definitely use this hotel again.

Good Points: Second room I was in was very comfortable.
Bad Points: First room I was offered was a very long walk from reception, was small and had a bad smell in bathroom. They moved me to another room which was much much better.
Further Comments: Retuarant menu was rather limited and a little expensive for what was on offer.

Good Points: The food was excellent and the location was ideal for someone wanting to see Oxford.
Bad Points: Cost of additional services. That to be honest at a 4* hotel you would expect to be included. For example sun beds, in room movies.

Good Points: It was clean, quite modern, breakfast was good & staff corrected things quickly (ie a towel was missing, water bottles not initially provided but this was quickly rectified)
Bad Points: On the second day the room had been remade but we were still expecting fresh bottles of water, the chocolates, etc to be replaced!
Further Comments: It was in a good location - on the outskirts of Oxford but the hotel told us about the bus that was every 15 minutes from right outside the hotel. We went out into town the first night and got a taxi that was about ᆪ5. The second night we took our car - even though parking is an absolute nightmare in the day, it was easy to park on the main road entering Oxford city during the evening and parking was free after 6.30. My advice to travellers would be to take the bus during the day!

Good Points: the politeness of staff, got accessibilty for places to visit,
Bad Points: restaurant food, not up to 4 star really but staff understood when compliant was made.
Further Comments: this hotel was very good value for money if only the rooms were bigger, the cost of tray service was excessive though apart fro that all was very good

Good Points: the room was quiet
Bad Points: supply luggage trolleys; open breakfast room earlier.
Further Comments: This is a business hotel with hundreds of yards of corridors through balky fire doors, smallish rooms and a lobby that was a smoky meeting/conference area. The in-room web access froze, the room was too cramped for two people and there was only one bath and one hand towel supplied. The breakfast buffet was good, but an early departure on the second day meant we had to leave without food. I would hesitate before staying there again as it was inconvenient for Oxford, which is several miles away.
