| Good Points:
everything! it was beautiful inside and out and importantly, the bedrooms appear to be as attractive as the common parts, which is unusual. no bland bedrooms here, very in-keeping. |

warm and welcoming 'olde worlde' character grade 2 listed building.Breakfast was excellent. |
| Bad Points:
Being January and wet weather it was somewhat dismal on first arrival. We also noticed dust on the skirting boards behind the bed! |
| Further Comments: Generally very nice character hotel but quiet with only 4 out of 11 rooms taken up. Needs livening up, perhaps some background music to create ambience and atmosphere would be a start.
Would not object to a return visit but perhaps later in year when weather is brighter. |

| Further Comments: overall an enjoyable experience. the staff were very pleasant, the hotel was beautifully presented. the hotel was a bit further from chester than we realised, but this was a very minor niggle. |

Just 10 rooms, all full. Our room was spacious and very well appointed with a grand view of hotel grounds. |
| Further Comments: An English country hotel in the grand style. The staff were extremely attentive and the food was excellent. It was most pleasant to see dogs made to feel at home although we didn't take one. We hope to stay at Broxton House again when we are in that area. |
