Good Points: It was quiet at night , very clean & looked + felt good and comfortable.
Further Comments: We stayed here 29 years ago , loved it then & even better now with renovations / additions. Meals + drinks on the terrace were wonderful with breath taking view.

Further Comments: The staff were fantastic. Allowed us to check in early in order to make sure we were ready for the wedding we were attending. Loving views also.

Further Comments: I booked 3 twin and two singles for our party. My twin was excellent value ie large room with nice views but some if my party claimed there rooms were small..Staff were helpfull and friendly but the bar person seemed a little clueless so check your bar bill. we ate in the hotel on a sunday night and we found the food to be all round pretty good. Breakfast was ok, only major grumble the coffe wasn't hot enough as it is self service from a pot. Overhall we only paid an average of ￂﾣ35 per head b&b and so we had excellent value.

Good Points: Location, size of room, quality of room & hotel in general. Quite a grand feeling. Good restaurant, very friendly & helpful staff.
Further Comments: I was concerned about the condition of the hotel prior to arrival as other reviews stated that renovation was underway. However, when we arrived (10/02/07) there was little evidence of this (some work but not disruptive) and the overall standard of the hotel was excellent. The room was spacious, had a great view over the Wye horseshoe and the restaurant served good quality, well priced food. Staff were friendly and helpful; can't think of a bad thing to say.

Further Comments: Better directions to the hotel, hotel having some renovation, should have been told before visit, on the whole hotel good, the foreign staff have much better attitude that the english staff, hotel receptionist was not at all welcoming. quite aburpt. Food excellent and nice comfortable bar area.
