21 The Lakes near Windermere: Windermere Hotels

Good Points: Pleasant ambience with friendly helpful staff. Situation of hotel was good.
Bad Points: Adequate hanging facility but no drawers in room for smaller items of clothing. Breakfast times were 8:30 to 9:30 only. This could have been extended either way to ease congestion in the dining room as the hotel was full during our stay.
Further Comments: Pleasant ambience with friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room with modern facilities. Excellent position for walking to Windemere and Bowness. Adequate parking. Good food. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would use the hotel again!

Good Points: Everything was excellent.
Bad Points: Nothing
Further Comments: The only thing missing from this hotel was a swimming pool and leisure centre. This would have made the hotel ace. But it was still excellent accommodation and we would go and stay again.

Bad Points: The room I had was on the same floor as reception and I guess the kitchen so very noisy no chance of a lie in
Further Comments: The room I had was very clean and had a air bath which was superb a 4 poster bed I guess in a roman theme very cream ! The outside veranda was nice but it rained continually so no chaance of using this one. The breakfast room was very small which made it tight but still very nice. The large mirrors in the breakfast room caught a lot of people out as it looked bigger as you searched for somewhere to sit. Overaul really good

Further Comments: not quite the luxury hotel as advertised!staff were badly managed and on occasion quite rude. breakfast was awful and not what was expected. nice room but much smaller than website suggests. nice room and bathroom though whole place could do with refurb. Manager very abrupt with absoloutly no customer service skills

Further Comments: 21 The Lakes is a great hotel. Would definatly recommend and return. Its a fab hotel for couples of all ages. The hotel is clean and decorated to a high standard. The staff are helpful and informative. The location is only 5-10 minutes walk to bowness with plenty of shops, bars and a varied selection of resturants. Look forward to returning for another great couple of days. This is a unique hotel. Try it you won't be disapointed!

Good Points: unusual accommodation and spa bath. staff/cleanliness excellent.
Bad Points: not enough light in bathroom for shaving. soap/body wash location wrong place for shower. room too small.
Further Comments: would have liked a little more information on room type as we would have preferred a slightly bigger room. overall a very enjoyable stay and will certainly book again for this year, we have already recommended you to our friends. staff excellent.
