Good Points: Traditional atmosphere and furnishings throughout the hotel,in keeping with the ambience of the building.
Bad Points: No Real Ale on sale.
Further Comments: Pleasnt, efficient and welcoming staff. Dining room in a beautiful setting,captivating views of the Vale of Llangollen Peaceful setting. Excellent food.

Further Comments: strictly non smoking. Our room was adequate, though there was no enamel on bath, and the bathroom tiles were old, dirty, and mouldy. The only refurbishment evident were newish curtains.The nets were stained quite badly.

Good Points: The location was fabulous
Further Comments: Very pleased apart from the fact we were left in the bar alone awaiting somebody to come and order food and a drink for 15 minutes, we went to the main reception and the member of staff directed us back to the bar, after another frustrating 10 minute wait we were finally sorted.

Good Points: Wonderful location with beautiful grounds and view, and very attentive staff. We certainly would return if we are in the area again, and will recommend Bryn Howel to our friends.
Bad Points: Absolutrely no complaints.
Further Comments: We were delighted with all aspects of our stay at Bryn Howel, especially since we were not familiar with the property or the area prior to making our on-line booking. We received excellent value for our money, and found that the web site gave a good description of the facilities, including detailed map information that allowed us to find the rural location of the hotel with very little difficulty.

Good Points: We found the hotel a place where we could relax in comfort. The standard of restaurant dining was exceptionally good.
Bad Points: only very minor things like soggy toast at breakfast avoidable with a toast rack, and a a bedroom teapot which dribbled when pouring.
Further Comments: We were delighted with the experience of staying at Bryn Howel and we hope we will make a second visit at some time soon. The discount through off season internet booking was a critical factor in our original booking.
