Good Points: ALTHOUGH WE ARRIVED VERY LATE (11PM) THE LADY OWNER WAS VERY WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY. FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD.

Further Comments: WE ONLY STAYED FOR TWO DAYS PURELY TO VISIT THE EDEN PROJECT. WE FLEW DOWN RATHER THAN DRIVE, SO DIDN'T HAVE A CAR. FORTUNATELY THERE IS A BUS STOP JUST ACROSS THE ROAD. THE BUS GOES TO THE PROJECT INDIRECTLY.

Good Points: Close to town, nice, but rather small room, good choices at breakfast, friendly staff.
Bad Points: Slightly on the small side, but not really a cause for complaint. Would probably liked to have had the sheets changed if we had stayed any longer. A mirror in the bathroom would have been nice as well, given the somewhat cramped space around sink in our room.
Further Comments: Had a very very nice time in Cornwall and the hotel proved to be a perfect launch base, both for events in the town as well as those in the rest of the Duchy. We could walk in to newquay easliy yet it was far enough away from the centre to remain farily tranquil. The beach view was very nice as was the rating the abilities of the surfers! The landlady was very very helpful, guiding us towards and away from things and recommending places to eat. The rest of the staff were very nice, friendly and efficient. All in all we would recommend the hotel to others - we know larger rooms are available and it ticks all the other boxes you would require from a hotel.

Further Comments: The room was adequate but didn't know before what beds it had. In our case, travelled with my mother-in-law, with my husband sleeping in the bottom bunk bed and us women in the 2 single beds. Would have classed the room as a family room rather than sleeping 4 adults. This was not a problem though. All the staff and the owner provided excellent and efficient service, made us very welcome and were helpful with any queries, would stay there again but in a double room.

Further Comments: overall a very good hotel that was clean and comfortable.roughly about 5 mins fromFistral Beach Good, 15 minutes from the town centre which was good as well away fromthe madening crowd so to speak, but that said a nice walk in to town. highly recommend good breakfast as well.

Good Points: Tidy, clean accommodation at a reasonable price.
Bad Points: Even with the radiator on full, we found the room to be cold for the short time we were in the room.
Further Comments: The hotel is in the process of refurbishment and we think that, when finished, it will be a very pleasant property. The accommodation we were offered was well decorated, having new furniture and new bathroom facilities. The owner was very friendly and recommended a fabulous restaurant for our evening meal. The breakfast was adequate but would have benefitted from being served on warmed plates. The hotel was clean, tidy and reasonably priced.
