Good Points: Room was a good size, furnishing and fittings very acceptable
Bad Points: Wanted a bath after a walk on Sunday afternoon and water was cold

Good Points: The grounds,position and ambience.The evening meal was excellent and we liked the pricing policy for the meal.Our bed was large and comfy.
Bad Points: Our room was up the back stairs and they needed hoovering!!This was clearly a'cheaper room'.Would have preferred a better room up the somewhat grander main stairs!Room was generally ok but dark with a noisy extractor fan in the bathroom which ran for over ten minutes each time we put the light on to use the loo.
Further Comments: Overall we liked Friars Carse for it's ambience, the sense of history, the food and the lovely grounds. We would definitely stay there again but would prefer a different bedroom next time!

Good Points: the location was excellent
Bad Points: the room was in need of some simple basic refurbishment i.e. lights that didn't work paint peeling off
Further Comments: the hotel is generally very good the staff very good and the food excellent. value for money it is good the single room i had needed some refurbishment but i was assured that changes where being made to the hotel

Further Comments: Having used active hotels online booking and stayed at the hotel before without any problems, we were surprised when we arrived and the hotel had no record of our booking, a bit of a worry since it was the Easter weekend. The hotel staff went of their way to accommodate us and couldn￢ﾀﾙt have been more helpful. The food was great and the hotel is looking better every time we visit.

Good Points: Great atmosphere. Old world charm with peace and quiet. Lovely grounds with pheasants and rabbits all over the place. Nice restaurant
Bad Points: A bit tired and in need of doing up. The food was nice but a bit expensive and the en suite facilities were so plain and very seventies.
Further Comments: We enjoyed our stay. The staff were just great and could not do enough to help. The new manager Gary is very enthusiastic about the hotel and its Burns history. He would never walk past without enquiring how we were enjoying ourselves. He is a total natural. The grounds are magnificent and the walks by the river are the same. It is very peaceful and we would certainly go back.

Further Comments: The Hotel was in a beautiful setting. The room was well presented and had everything which was required for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and always had a smile on their face, nothing was a problem to them. The food was excellent, the restaurant, bar, sitting room etc were all clean, tidy and the whole Hotel had a relaxed ambience. I would thoroughly recommend Friars Carse Hotel.

Good Points: EXCELLENT STAFF SUPERB FOOD PERSONAL SERVICE
Further Comments: Excellent customer service from check in to check out.Food put some 5 star hotels to shame.Service second to none,excellent bar and at normal pub prices.Cant wait to go back.
