Good Points: Clean, Bed comfortable
Bad Points: Unusual shower system in bathroom
Further Comments: Hotel was clean but obviously catered for short stay clients. Book in/book out was a little slow and the room was in darkness when entered. It needed the room key card to be entered into a slot in the room. I am a Holiday Inn Priority Club member and use their hotels regularly but this is the first time that I have come across this system.

Good Points: good standard of cleanliness, comfy beds
Bad Points: shower didn't drain properly
Further Comments: Good size room, comfy beds, well stocked for tea, coffee & shower gel, hairdryer etc. It was exactly what we expected of it, although we found it quite quaint that the lights went off if you didn't leave the key card in the reader by the door! No rush for breakfast as it was served until checkout time, but don't have the tropical juice it was vile! We would definitely stay there again.

Good Points: Easy to reserve a room online. Liked the fact that the price included breakfast.
Bad Points: Only a minor dislike - we had a very bouncy mattress on our bed!
Further Comments: Overall our experience at this hotel was very good. Our room was clean and comfortable with all facilities that we required to hand. The breakfast was an added bonus and ranged from croissants to cereal to toast with various fruit juices as well as tea and coffee (all on a help yourself basis) available. The staff were very pleasant and we would definitely consider staying here again next time we are visiting the NEC.

Good Points: The room was clean and tidy, and everything worked fine.
Bad Points: The man who checked us in. We checked in around 1am and the man was extremely obnoxious. First of all he was muttering under his breath when I misheard him. I was staying in a twin room with my mother and she was paying on her card, it came back as declined for some reason. My mum was quite upset and worried about this, instead of offering to help, he was very arrogant and said he couldn't help us unless we had other payment. Luckily I did and paid on one of my cards. (We later found there was nothing wrong with her card or the funds she had) This made my mother extremely worried. If I hadn't had another way of paying would he have made my disabled mother sleep in a car? Then to top it off, the card to the room didn't work and when I took it back he smatched the card away and said that there shouldn't be anything wrong with the card. He then gave me another one, which worked!
Further Comments: The stay was fine. All was good apart from the guy on check in, how ruined my view of the hotel and has deterred me from using the hotel again.

Good Points: Nice and clean, shower was lovely and it was nice to have wash things in the room.
Further Comments: Excellant hotel, would stay again. Brilliant pub next door, where the prices for meals and drinks were excellant.

Further Comments: A typical business orientated hotel. No bells or whistles. Basic but comfortable and clean. The hotel is situated close to the motorway but noise does not intrude. The car park is security patrolled at night which gives piece of mind. You will need a car as the surrounding area is industrial and not particularly pleasant to explore on foot. Breakfast was a simple continental affair. This is a good value for money hotel which is within a 20 minute drive from the centre of birmingham

Good Points: everything, except what i did'nt like( see below)
Bad Points: 1) bed sheets were somewhat smelly 2)couple of neighbours were very loud and therefore disturbed the sleep during night.
Further Comments: overall i liked the hotel and enjoyed my stay there.

Bad Points: Personally I would have liked more coffee etc in the room on arrival
Further Comments: The hotel was very easy to find and close to the motorway. There is a shopping complex nearby. The staff were helpful and the hotel was very clean and well kept.

Bad Points: Although on the door it the room was non-smoking, there was an ash tray in the room and a funny smell as if somebody smoked?
Further Comments: Enjoyable, however I do prefer a cooked breakfast so I had breakfast out. Colin C Garner

Further Comments: As we have used Holiday Inn's on a number of occasions it was everything we wanted and expected.Infact our onward journey was to Holiday Inn Le Touquet France
