Good Points: Friendly reception and helpful attitude on arrival and during stay.
Bad Points: Heating rooms before guests arrive.
Further Comments: It was a very cold day and our room was cold on arrival. The heating has only just been put on and, as there was only a small radiator, the room took a long time to get up to a reasonable temperature. We ordered mushrooms with our scrambled eggs, however this consisted of only one button mushroom each! The breakfast was otherwise satisfactory. Overall the

Further Comments: Apart from the above which was not crucial the hotel is excellent value for money clean and excellent bed and breakfast.

Good Points: The location was fantastic and all of the staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed.
Bad Points: It would have been nice to have been able to have at least one evening meal on site during our stay where we could have enjoyed a bottle of wine. As we had to drive everywhere this was not possible.
Further Comments: Apart from the issue of the evening meals we cannot fault this hotel. The description on the website is very informative so we knew what it was like before we booked it. The location was a very pleasant surprise and it made a nice change to be away from the sound of traffic. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, even if there was nothing in it for them. The fact that they have ground floor rooms will enable us to go back there and take my parents and my Father is blind. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

Good Points: We were made very welcolme and well looked after, good breakfast and service.
Bad Points: We were overcharged for a room we did'nt have. Because the internet booking was not received.
Further Comments: I would have liked to have known that my reservation had been accepted by the hotel.

Bad Points: lack of an evening meal option.
Further Comments: The isolation of the hotel together with the lack of an evening meal option and local lack of adequate meal facilities spoilt the otherwise excellent experience. This will not put me off staying again!

Good Points: Pleasant, family run hotel. Rooms were of a good size and value for money
Bad Points: There was no evening meal as suggested on the website.
Further Comments: The hotel was smaller than I expected but this gave it a 'friendly' feel. Staff had to be summoned by use of a bell but they came promptly. Breakfast was good and prompt service but would have liked an option for an evening meal as there is not much choice in the area.

Further Comments: Excellent accommoation, easy to find, good food, very clean, helpful. Will stay again - daughter lives just 2 miles away so will be regular visitors now!

Further Comments: In a lovely rural location, just right to explore the Yorkshire Dales. The owners were very polite and courteous, and the room was well presented and very clean.
