| Good Points: Very good location - Solihull's shops, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Having hotel parking was very useful as Solihull was VERY busy. Good shower. |
| Bad Points: Non smoking room had clearly been a smoking room at some point (Curtains smelled of cigarettes), extractor fan not working, bar too expensive, hotel in need of refurbishing. |
| Further Comments: It would have been useful if a wireless broadband/network connection had been available in our room. Although satellite TV is claimed, the number of channels was very limited. Overall however, the room was comfortable enough and the location was excellent - the rates we paid were very competitive and these factors were enough to overcome the small niggles we experienced..... |

| Good Points: Clean comfortable, and warm despite the cold weather during our stay |
| Bad Points: We only had one chair in our room, and maybe it is our age but we found the lighting a little subdued, especially when reading |
| Further Comments: It is well situated for the centre of town, it has adequate parking, and provides all the facilities that one might require without having to leave the hotel |

| Good Points: I thought the accomodation was dated in appearence, and did not not look value for money. The service was ok but I prefired to leave the Hotel. |
| Bad Points: The rooms were dated, and also the equipemnt in them |
| Further Comments: I think that if i had view the room before hand I would have booked into a different hotel like a travel lodge etc. |

| Good Points: Staff were friendly & responsive, convenient location |
| Bad Points: Decor felt tired (especially bathroom), couldn't leave room bill open for Switch cards |
| Further Comments: As above, it would have been useful if I could have left the room bill open for the duration of the stay. As I don't have a credit card, I wasn't able to do this, so I had to pay two separate bills - one on arrival for the room itself and one again on checkout for the breakfast. Would have preferred to just have one bill.
All of the staff were very friendly and responsive to queries. |

| Good Points: Accommodation was close to the town centre and the reception area was impressive. |
| Bad Points: The room was very dated, ceiling paper was coming away in the bathroom, the bathroom was aged and cleanliness was poor. The bed sheets were torn/ripped. |
| Further Comments: This hotel is close to Solihull town centre and is ideal for shopping and leisure facilities.
The booking in process and treatment at reception was excellent and informative.
However, the room allocated was in need of modernisation/repairs with the bathroom being in a worse state. I had the impression that as I was only staying for one night and I was the sole occupant that it would be acceptable.
I would recommend the room subject to checking the room allocation |

| Good Points: free parking, friendly reception staff, clean modern room |
| Bad Points: proximity to function room (loud party ongoing in room), no face cloths in room |
| Further Comments: I was impressed with the free parking, which is a big plus for a town/city centre hotel. Good Location. Room was generally excellent - very clean, modern, good facilities/equipment.
Although the check-in staff were polite and cheerful the check in process was a little chaotic due to reception full of attendees waiting to go into nearby function room. Was a little disappointed that my room was opposite the function room which was playing very loud music |
