Central Guest House near Birmingham: Birmingham Hotels

Good Points: It was very reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly
Bad Points: There was a lot of damp in our bathroom, this was pointed out by the proprieter and he did appologise.
Further Comments: On arrival the proprieters were extremely friendly and helpful. They showed us to our rooms and gave us advice on which buses we needed to catch to go into town. Later they booked us a taxi for our evening trip. In the morning breakfast was very pleasant and nicly cooked. It was a very homely B&B.

Good Points: Excellent location for NEC, extremely friendly and flexible hosts, comfortable room, good breakfast and overall great value for money

Good Points: Friendley people that owned it, just lovley.
Bad Points: Accomadation was very nice, bed was too hard, bathroom is small but work ok.
Further Comments: surcharge for paying by credit card wish I had known this, the place was nice and clean the people that owned it were very friendley. we would stay again.

Further Comments: The owners were brilliant and really helpfull. The room was large and clean with a comfortable bed and an abundance of towels in the bathroom. The system for breakfast selection was good with lots of choice and the breakfast itself was clean looking (not with lots of burnt bits from the bottom of the pan) and most important really good and tasty.

Further Comments: we found the guest house easy to find, traveling from the nec centre. when we arrived we were welcomed by Marlene who was very welcoming and gave us some good recomendations for eating out. The room was clean and spacious. We had a very nice full english breakfast. we only stopped one night but found marlene and michael very pleasant and helpful. we would certainly stop at this guest house again if visting birmingham. it was like home from home.

Good Points: The room was clean and the owners friendly. Good breadfast. We booked a double room, but was placed in a family room containing a double bed and two singles. The room was at the back of the house and quiet. We had a good night's sleep. Clean and airy bathroom with all the necessary.
Bad Points: The windows in the room could not open. The heaters were set a bit too warm and we would have enjoyed some fresh air. We did manage to turn down the heating.
