Good Points: Clean and well presented, no excessive fuss but just good value
Bad Points: Nothing
Further Comments: Hotel has good facilties including a good restaurant which served good food. The location was convinient for Colchester, and was easy to find. The staff were helpful and overall it offered good value for money.

Good Points: location was remote but nice,lawns and grounds were very pleasant.
Bad Points: very dated, very poor facilities.
Further Comments: hotel needs to be dragged into the new millenium.

Good Points: very clean all shampoos etc full and good quality, towels fresh and clean. room fair size.
Bad Points: nothing it was lovely.
Further Comments: stairs down to the room which we did not know about but only about 9 so it was manageable. (hotel did not know that this was necessary as op was unforseen)

Bad Points: no dinner facility on Sunday evening,grilled breakfast not very nice, same price for my daughter who only had cereal.
Further Comments: Lovely manor house feel, very near town centre in university grounds. No dinner possibility on Sunday, only sandwiches. Good experience overall

Good Points: where it was situated... the hotel is situated in the well kept grounds of the university and nicely tucked away from the outside world.
Bad Points: Taxi's in Colchester seem very expensive... We payed ￂﾣ8 to the train station and ￂﾣ11 on the way back before midnight.

Good Points: Convenient to my Son who lives in Wivenhoe
Further Comments: The room was clean and tidy but the Shower did not work properly (it was just a dribble) and the seal on the shower screen had come off therefore what bit of water we managed to get went all over the floor and the towels had seen better days, when I mentioned it to the receptionist on check out she just said she would mention it to the House Manager and no apology was given. I felt I was just been passed off and as we stay there frequently felt rather annoyed.
