Good Points: Restaurant staff friendly
Bad Points: More comfortable beds, sheets that fit, Maintenance in the bathroom, reading instructions
Further Comments: The stay was fraught with a hard and narrow bed with sheets that did not fit. the room was chilly and the bathroom is in need of a general clean and maintenance. A do not disturb notice was placed on the door but the room was entered and serviced. However the service was not even done to a service order and was expressly against the instructions made. I was offered a discount that was agreed however an uncomfortable stay and a broken sleep meant that the work next day was harder as I hadn't rested well.

Bad Points: Beds a little hard, there were no toiletries in our room, is this standard practice.
Further Comments: That there were no toiletries in the room so we had to buy more, which we then forgot to take home with us. However it was good to find a hotel which offered full family rooms with breakfast for a very reasonable price

Good Points: Location
Bad Points: Our breakfast on the first morning (Saturday) was totally unacceptable, staff took down wrong order and when it finally did arrive it was not very nice. Eggs hard, black sausage very hard etc. Some of the breakfast staff looked as if they weren't bothered and could do with a course in customer service. Also the reception/lounge area where people sit to have a coffee was not cleared of ashtrays or dirty coffee cups all day, which I thought very remiss considering it was where hotel guests and members of the public liked to sit for a quiet cigarette and coffee.
Further Comments: ON the whole the Reception staff were accommodating, only grumble on first night - it was difficult to get the barman to stay behind the bar, we had to keep going to find someone to serve us. Other than that, the breakfast and keeping the lounge area clear of dirty cups and ashtrays, we thought the hotel an adequate one.

Good Points: Great staff, great service.
Bad Points: Checkout - there was a long queue on Tuesday morning for checkout. I am not confident about using the 'Express checkout service' - I want to go away with a receipt in my hand. I would be unhappy if the long queue was a routine experience (once is not an issue).

Good Points: The room was nicely furnished and well equipped. The Hotel restaurant was adequate, the breakfast was very good. Staff were very nice and efficient when they are to be found! All seemed over worked and covering more than one work area.
Bad Points: The hotel looked tired and needed some TLC! The rooms although small we considered adequate and nicely furnished. The bed was AWFUL!!!
Further Comments: It is a useful well placed hotel especially if you desire a modern quiet hotel away from the madding crowds of the NEC! The bedroom was not overly large but wery well equipped. Our bed though was tired and needed replacement. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient albiet there appeared not to be many of them! Car Parking was easy within the hotel grounds. You get the feeling that for all the hotels benefits its time the owners spent some money to keep it upto scratch for the room rates charged.

Bad Points: the hotel was very good but my one4 complaint wqas the bar. The bar prices were very over priced and thgis was most probably the reason that nio one was drinking in there. ﾣ9.60 for 2 single measure vodka and tonic !!!

Good Points: I think the girls who worked there was very nice ;o)
Bad Points: Room service, they advertise they offer 24 hour room service, and they dont stick to this. This also happened on 2 previous visits to this hotel, and used the same excuse for not being able to do it!
Further Comments: The reception desk is very poorly staffed, on about 4 occasions on this visit i needed a member of staff and there was very rarely anyone there, and no bell to call for anyone. The room service is very poor, they advertise 24 room service, but this is not true, i've stayed on numerous occasions, and its the same story everytime.

Good Points: Good size rooms, quiet. Handy for getting to the University where my course was.
Bad Points: Some decor/furnishings a bit 'tired'. Bathroom radiator very dusty.

Good Points: The ambience of the room
Bad Points: Heating - the bar staff were lovely - neatly dressed,happy,helpful but the bar was freezing. A cold spell of weather had descended. The bedroom was lovely and warm.
Further Comments: Overall I enjoyed our short stay. The staff were efficient, well trained and friendly. Unfortunately a wedding or social event was taking place and we were woken at 1a.m by a rowdy group of young people attending the event. After 30 mins I rang reception but little action was taken. It was 3a.m before the group finally decided to call it a day. We were very tired the next morning from the experience. In 2003 we celebrated our 25th anniversary in Peru- we had a similar experience in a Novotel. The management actly swiftly and told the young American tourists that they would be ejected by the hotel if any further noise was heard. This had an immediate effect. I am not sure if the same rules can be applied to this country. p.s. We love your hotel in Dorking - best Fish and Chips ever!

Good Points: It had everything we needed.
Bad Points: The size of the room was small overlooking flat roof only. Generally needs tidying in small areas. Very hot.
Further Comments: I did not see a menu for the restaurant and we had to ask for the breakfast menu. I asked for haddock which was nice but arrived swimming in water. I have since been ill so am not sure weather this could have been the haddock or not, however it is the only different thing that I ate compared to my husband.

Good Points: Central location. All the facilities one would expect. Value for money
Bad Points: Breakfast.After 15 minutes I had to eventually beg for a cup of tea and some toast. When it did arrive the toast tasted about 2 days old. It was about as hot as the rest of the breakfast.

Bad Points: Far too noisy - too many banging doors woke me several times during the night - of no sleep the rest is immaterial.
Further Comments: That the hotel was noisy and then I wouldn't have even booked it in the first place!

Bad Points: Generally tired appearance and insufficient attention to detail. Eg lack of beers. Cost of drink much too high (ﾣ4 plus a pint!)

Further Comments: I reported a broken bottle with jagged glass in the middle of the car parking area in late afternoon but it was still there the following day.
