Good Points: The view was good and it was clean
Bad Points: The whole hotewl was extremely dated. It looked as though it had last been decorated and re-carpeted in the 1980's
Further Comments: Well, it was cheap and that was good. It was also within walking distance of the restaurant (Ramsons) which was the reason for our visit to Ramsbottom in the first place. The setting was pretty good, too. But it was just incredibly old-fashioned. This made it look tatty, which it probably wasn't. I guess it needs a terribly expensive re-fit - but I appreciate that may not be possible or economic. The breakfast was first class, by the way.

Good Points: Lavender theme in rooms and interesting restaurant
Bad Points: Poor light for reading, room excessively hot, especially at night. The scrambled egg at breakfast was unlike any we have ever had before
Further Comments: OK for one night but the steep hill precluded going out for a walk and the gardens were not as expected from the description.

Good Points: The rooms were well set out, facilities such as free internet was excellent and how it should be.The rooms had flat LCD panel TV screens which was a good touch. Leisure centre looked good. Proximity to the town was fantastic.
Bad Points: The cooked breakfast meal was quite obviously just microvaved and was of a very poor standard.
Further Comments: Good The staff on the reception and bar were extremely helpful and friendly on arrival and also on departure. Overall the rooms were excellent. The rooms were well set out, facilities such as free internet was excellent and how it should be. The rooms had flat LCD panel TV screens which was a good touch. Leisure centre looked good. Further Comments: Apart from the tired room decor(I understand they are progressively refurbishing the rooms) it was a pleasant place to stay.

Good Points: The hotel is conveniently located and has fantastic facilities. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The food served is excellent quality. The DeCaf Tea bags were also very welcome.
Bad Points: It often takes several minutes (10-15) for the hot water to come from the shower. On my last stay the shower was luke warm bordering on cold which was not pleasant.

Good Points: Convenient to places we wished to vist. Staff remembered us and we we well treated.
Bad Points: General condition of the facilities, nothing that a coat of paint and new wallpaper wouldn't sort out.
