Good Points: Spacious and tastefully decorated. Beds were exceptionalty comfortable
Bad Points: Nothing
Further Comments: The quality of service was very good. We had a meal in the bar one night which arrived stone cold. We called the waiter across who had the meal re-ordered and within 10 mins a hot meal was provided. apart from that single incident the overall service was good. Overall it represented very good value for money and we look forward to a return visit in the future - booked through the internet for even better value.

Good Points: It was a comfortable well equipped room, but would have been a little cosy for two people.
Bad Points: Not to charge outrageous amounts on phone calls. Having to phone my wife in Spain, iIt would have been cheaper using my Spanish mobile. I will never use a hotel phone again.
Further Comments: Apart from my gripe about the phone, my only other reservation I have is the dining room staff's 'fussing'. While I like attentive service, there are times when it is nice to be left alone, without a horde of waiters and waitresses around the table, and to have discreet service. Otherwise, my stay was very good.

Good Points: Leisure complex and pool very good
Bad Points: The rooms are badly in need of a refurb.
Further Comments: The Dunblane Hydro is a magnificent building in an excellent setting, but the standard of our room was not what I had expected. Perhaps the superior rooms are more in keeping with what I had expected.

Good Points: Clean, modern room. Excellent facilities and superb restaurant.
Bad Points: The number of channels available on the in-room TV was below what I expect today. Budget hotels offer more channels and when travelling on business it's relaxing to be able to sit in your room and watch a variety of programmes.
Further Comments: On arrival at 3.00pm my room wasn't ready for another hour. I wasn't directed to any area to wait and with the hotel standing in it's own extensive grounds there was nothing to do but wait in the car.

Good Points: Room was large and bathroom looked modernised. Enjoyed the fact that we were able to stay in the same hotel as the wedding we were attending.
Bad Points: Booking in process. We were told check in was 2pm and arrived then however room was not ready until 4pm and no explanation given however made good use of the bar facilities!
Further Comments: Prices for food and drink - pretty pricey.

Good Points: Warm & comfortable. Excellent breakfast - fair dinner (but below the standard I would have expected) I appreciate that at this time you may have been using reserve staff in the kitchen.
Bad Points: Rooms are getting a bit tired - faded glory! Also I hope the new smoking regulations will deal with the excessively smoky reception area we encountered on arrival!
Further Comments: We received a letter on 28th Dec warning of possible disturbances due to party/disco also on 28th Dec! We assumed the letter had been sent late but we thought it most considerate of you to advise your guests until we found out to our cost that you had dated it for the wrong event - hence we were severely disturbed, getting little rest until 3.00am as the main centre for out of hour activities activities was immediately opposite our room. I feel that what we paid for accomodation was fair - to pay the full whack would be ludicrous for what was on offer.

Good Points: The room was well appointed with open outlook. Beds clean and comfortable. Room spacious. Breakfast selection more than adequate.
Bad Points: Communication between members of staff. Quality and presentation of food from coffee bar and in particular room service.
Further Comments: The bathroom looked a little tired and the style of shower over the bath not user friendly. The food served in the lounge and room tended to be luke warm and also not what was ordered and with items missing. Room service was also very slow. We were locked out of our room on morning of departure and staff took over an hour to give us access to our room again. The problem was staff not communicating with each other. We were constantly chasing them up for action. Also we were given no consideration for the inconvenience - we were just left high and dry bearing in mind that my husband has special needs. I did complain to mamnagement who did apologise and offered some recompense. However a hotel of this calibre should have offered better service in the first instance.

Good Points: I've stayed several times in Dublane and selected it for its convenience to Stirling University. The staff were excellent however I felt the hotel required some refurbishment, as the decor was somewhat tired.
Bad Points: Decor Non smoking bar

Good Points: Great facilities, Quality Cuisine and Fast and efficient staff.
Bad Points: Entertain, because they don't have any.
Further Comments: This hotel boasted great leisure facilities and quality cuisine, but could be doing with upgrading some rooms and providing evening entertainent.

Good Points: the first room my wife was given 336 the enamel on the bath was flaking off and lying in the bottom of the bath.
Further Comments: In general my wife and son were fairly happy ,the only complaints really were that there room was beside families with young children and they were banging on the walls from 5.30am onwards. Then some parents decided to let their children run up and down the halls fromapprox 7.00am onwards. Finally my son had a meal in his room on the 18th andwhen they left the tray was still at the door on the 20th which day they departed.Despite asking staff to have it removed it never was.
