Good Points: Relaxing, friendly and efficient service, good food and drink.
Further Comments: From the moment we arrived, stressed and tired, the hotel began to work its calming magic. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, who were polite, friendly and efficient. The setting is glorious and, complemented by unseasonably glorious weather, we enjoyed a relaxing and pampered break with walks, swimming, gymnasium use and fine food and drink - even if slightly too much of these latter two. We left refreshed, cheered and content. would that I could say this of all hotel stays.

Good Points: We found the room to be very spacious and clean
Further Comments: Our only regret is that we did not spend longer at the hotel to enjoy the beautiful gardens and walks available this was due to us not having the time but will make sure that we have more time when we visit again.

Good Points: Not bad, thought I would be getting a better room for the money paid. Very average.
Bad Points: Double bed was fare too small. mattress fare too soft, room far too small. Not enough hanging space in wardrobes. lacked not having a mini bar, and fridge.TV not adequate.Bed far too soft, too hot at night.
Further Comments: As mentioned above. Very happy with the hotel and staff attention.However I was let down by the room. I complained and was upgraded to a much better one.No mini bar and fridge was a shame.TV's very very average.

Good Points: The thing I liked best was the Molton Brown stuff, the robes etc in the bathroom. I get annoyed when I pay this sort of money for a hotel room and its clearly been penny pinched.
Bad Points: Stupid little cups to make tea in in the morning. Mugs are what real men need. Irons and ironing boards should be available in all rooms as standard - most business travellers will need to iron a shirt and its a pain to have to call housekeeping.
Further Comments: A pleasant hotel and surroundings - the leisure facilities were well maintained and of good quality. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive - even if they did form a bit of a crowd when things were slow.

Good Points: cosy, well presented, comfortable bed, and lovely bathroom.
Further Comments: I had a wonderful time, and the staff in particular were extremely helpful and approachable. overall was very impressed.

Good Points: There was nothing other than the building itself that really took my breath away. I have stayed in many other SLH accommodation all over the world and I would say this was the least special.
Bad Points: Ordered room service and was bought stale bread!!!
Further Comments: The Hotel and gardens were wonderful but the food that I sampled (room service as we ate out due to the Hotel being a little pretentious and for the older crowd) was not befitting of my experience of SLH elsewhere!!

Good Points: I loved the house and grounds the gardeners deserve a medal I liked the size of the bedroom and character of the hotel and reception rooms I loved the terrace a lovely place to watch the sun go down and have a drink or two or light supper so much more could be made of the grounds and view!
Bad Points: It was shabby in places we had two interconnecting rooms with children and a babysitter 4 different keys were needed to open the door between the two rooms which woke up both babies even though the plan was mentioned at booking and at check in. The colour scheme in te room was a little dated pink green and yellow from memory!
Further Comments: i would come back to the hotel for the child friendly approach and grounds for children to play in. I chose to eat out at a local pub onsaturday night as the hotel was somewhat taken over by a large wedding party

Further Comments: The main selling point of Tylney Hall are its beautiful surroundings. The gardens and setting in general are fantastic, and really contribute to feeling of relaxation that the place engenders in all of its guests. Eating in the restaurant in the evening was a pleasurable experience, although the portions were on the small side and the palate cleansers between courses seemed unnecessarily prissy. On the whole this was a most enjoyable place to visit and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
