Good Points: Accommodation was reasonable
Further Comments: There was a wedding group at the hotel who were extremely noisy and did not get much sleep. Management were generally indifferent about the problem and would not stop there again, if I had known about the party would not have stayed there

Further Comments: Excellent location, right next to the cathedral and 2 minutes walk from the city centre. The hotel was more than acceptable for the price paid and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My only criticisms are that the hotel is probably getting close to the point where it might need a modernisation of its its bedrooms, particularly in terms of decor. Also, slightly disappointing to go back to the hotel after eating out, only to find that the bar had closed at 10:45pm!

Good Points: Relaxing atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, good sized rooms, Good food bearing in mind I only had breakfast.
Bad Points: I would have liked to have had a fan in the room, the weather was very hot and the windows only open a limited amount due to health and safety. There was very little information in the room by the way of times of breakfast, a menu for the eveing meal, places of interest or a map of the local area. However the staff were very helpful on the desk and were ready to answer any questions.
Further Comments: My friend and I were staying in the hotel in order to visit family. We found the room a good size. Breakfast was very plesant with plenty of choice. The room was very warm due to the weather conditions, we would have been grateful of a fan as the windows had limited opening due to health and safety. There was a room on our floor with ironing facilities and there was always a member of staff to hand to cater for your needs. There was limited information in the room, breakfast times, menu for the evening meal, a map of the local area, places of interest etc. However the staff on the desk were always helpful in answering any questions you may have had. All in all a plesant weekend. Thank-you!

Good Points: The bed was comfortable
Bad Points: The first room had windows that did not fit.
Further Comments: The staff were great and the hotel was in a convenient location. With some effort and a little money being spent it could be so much better. You could do with getting the windows cleaned as they were filthy. The grouting round the bath could be replaced and this would make the bathroom look so much more inviting. Generally, the manager and the senior staff need to take a fresh look at the hotel - go round it as if you were a hotel inspector - and they would see that with some greater effort in cleaning and attention to detail it could be a much better hotel. I longed to get my hands on the hotel to improve it! We still enjoyed our stay because of the comfort of the bed and the staff's friendliness.

Good Points: The things I needed worked, and the bed was comfy.
Bad Points: The room was very very hot and the staff were not very friendly.
Further Comments: Whilst it is amusing to have all taps labelled cold, it is not always helpful. Also, breakfast was not very tasty. I think that in general the hotel just needs a bit of modernisation and repair work.

Good Points: It was close to the city centre and bus station.
Bad Points: That there was a major party going on during my first night, wich kept me awake most of the night. Other than that..no complaints
Further Comments: It was a good hotel for the rate I paid. I do not know if there is anything I should have known before booking. As for the party that went on..not sure if it was inside the hotel but if so I did not see any info about a party going on in the hotel reception. However that info would be good to see when checking in so we could be prepared for some late night noises. I may have missed such info of course in the lobby.

Good Points: Good service from reception although no room service was available on the evening of our stay.
Bad Points: no car parking directly at hotel.
Further Comments: Pleasantly suprised on entering reception as the hotel looks quite shabby from outside. Received very efficient service from reception but disappointed that we were unable to have any room service on the evening of our stay, despite it being advertised as available. Hotel overall was good, although there is no car parking specifically for this hotel. There is a pay on exit car park just down the road.

Good Points: the hotel reception was nice and the staff were freindly it was a shame about the actual rooms upstairs
Bad Points: the background noise of what was possibly the air conditioning or generator set on timer was so noisy the floor vibrated and it was difficult to get any sleep also the room was freezing so that we were also kept awake by the cold it was restless night and not an experience i would recomend
Further Comments: the rooms were outdated felt the windows could do with replacing to keep out the cold and fixing/replacing watever is causing the noise would make a drastic improvement overall the accomadation could do with seriuos updating

Further Comments: The restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was appalling. The staff are loud, slow, dissatisfied, overworked and complacent. The food was poor. Other hotel staff were good. Rooms in need of makeover but clean.

Bad Points: Cleanliness (towels, room, smell), provide a mixer at the sink (vs separate cold/ hot water), have different staff members for a) checking in and b) for collecting and giving keys.

Further Comments: A slightly tatty but perfectly adequate hotel in a central Coventry location. The staff were helpful and friendly; the food was OK and the twin room was a good size. It had the basic TV channels

Good Points: I did not enjoy my stay, the room did not smell clean, it was all a bit shabby for the price.
Bad Points: more staff would be an improvement and better standard of cleanliness.
Further Comments: we went to visit an elderly reletive in hospital and some family, we were unable to get any food so we ordered room service in the early hours we were absolutely shattered and hungry. We were absolutely astounded when a man demanded money , we asked to put it on our bill and we will settle the next morning as we were unorganised he refused, then radiod to someone who aggreed so he took our drinks of lemonade and coke and our sandwiches with him and stormed off, i was disgusted at such treatment and recieved no appology from the girl on reception when we explained what had happened.A absolute farse!

Further Comments: I was very impressed with the hotel itself and the surrounding area. I stayed with some American gusts we had visiting our company and they found it most enjoyable as it was very Old and very Enlish.
