||
| Good Points: The dinner and breakfasts. | |||
| Further Comments: The hotel, staff and food were excellent. I will certainly stay here again. | |||

| Good Points: Clean and tidy,well mannered staff, good food and bar that stayed open later than normal and the facility to charge extras to your room. | |||
| Further Comments: Our stay was a lovely experience to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. All the staff were helpful for any information we wanted and the best way to get to where we wanted to be and were polite and courtious when returning late and allowed us to have a drink at the bar before retiring for the evening. Our room was cleaned and tidied as we were out for the day. The location of the hotel was perfect out in the country yet also not far from the city for shopping and entertainment. An overall wonderful experience. | |||

||
| Good Points: good sized bathroom; very good shower; double bedded room; the staff and the relaxed atmosphere and grounds | |||
| Bad Points: no bath (this is as was stated at booking); missing convenience items, e.g., spoon for use with tea/coffee facility, shoe cleaner, TV remote control batteries; no radio except one fixed channel via tv; no easy chair; lighting not good for reading (for me, at least!) | |||
| Further Comments: Booking information clear and accurate in relation to our needs for a leisure stay; easily found location with pleasant, well kept grounds; welcoming staff. Perhaps the holiday weekend was the cause of the relatively minor shortcomings regarding room facilities care and menu shortages at breakfast (e.g., fresh yoghurts)? Would have been dissapointed/dissatisfied with room lighting and lack of desk/working space if I had booked accommodation for a conference attendance or working visit (hotel advertises as conference centre). I don't know the local market; but with a little attention to detail feel it could be a place worth making a moderate diversion to if needing to stay over in the north manchester area. I shall certainly use it again when in the locality for pleasure purposes. | |||

| Good Points: Internally had the appearance and facilities of a much more expensive hotel. | |||
| Bad Points: On approach the appearance is of a modern motel, and belies the quality within and the lovely grounds. | |||
| Further Comments: Staff were very helpful and willing and very friendly. The bathrooms were smart and modern though compact. My only real concern was that the beautiful fittings might be damaged quickly as they were not finished adequately. (grout required around pipework and between some gaps in tiles, before leaks occur downstairs. Toilet roll holder not fixed securely and someone not taking due care could easily break this fitting off. - A pity when such trouble has been taken to provide such smart fittings) All that said, assuming the standards remain the same, I will be booking for the same hotel on my next visit to the area. | |||

| Good Points: The quality of the meals was very high. Helpful and friendly staff. | |||

||
| Good Points: Good location | |||
| Bad Points: I was given a smoker's room (room 5) with the usual smell of stale smoke, although I had booked a non-smoking room, the radiator didn't work at all, the bedside light didn't work, the TV remote was missing and the furniture looked chipped and shabby. | |||
| Further Comments: Good location, ample parking and fairly quiet even though it is close to the motorway. The evening meal was reasonable however their was no alternative to a fry-up for breakfast apart from a choice of 4 cereals. The hotel badly needs some investment. | |||
