Good Points: CENTRAL TO NEC AND SHOPS
Bad Points: ROOMS VERY OUT OF DATE, NO MIRROR IN ROOM, NO FAN IN BATHROOM. ONLY 1 LOCKER IN TWIN ROOM, LIFTS NOT WORKING, DAMP SMEEL OF AN OLD BUILDING AND DECOR VERY SHABBY AND DATED
Further Comments: WOULD NEED REFURBISHED AND MODERNISED, IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE HOTEL

Bad Points: Room was very hot. Bedside light in bits!! General shabbiness (though it is in the process of being refurbished)
Further Comments: Because of its location the hotel is fine for a one-night stay but I wouldn't like to stay any longer.

Bad Points: the noise from some water pipe
Further Comments: when my wife complained about the noise from a water pipe rattling she was asked what noise we wrre not offered the chance to move rooms the receptionist just put the phone down, same noise woke us at 6 am it was deafening again we were asked what noise ???????

Bad Points: was being refurbished, and a bit scruffy
Further Comments: bathroom needed updating, appearance of hotel from outside, scruffy, inside was OK in parts. dining room was cold

Good Points: Clean and welcoming
Bad Points: Only small point but they did not take my credit card to give me credit at the bar so I had to go and swip it again
Further Comments: This was an 11th hour booking and was really pleased with the hotel. I normally stay at the IBIS in Birmingham but was full, I will deffo try and get in this hotel in future. I understand it is going thought a refit but I had no problems.

Good Points: Central location easy for the Train Station
Further Comments: The hotel is old and the rooms dated and very small, a much needed refurbishment was underway.

Good Points: I thought the location was great, and the room was a good size. The staff were very helpful and polite.
Bad Points: The shower was broken (the hose was torn and sprayed everywhere) and the shower curtain was also broken. Also, the noise, particularly at anti-social hours of the morning, was horrendous. I appreciate that the hotel is being refurbished but i feel that some of the noise could have been prevented. Either that, or we could have been told to expect some disturbance.

Good Points: Clean comfy. The staff were very friendly.
Bad Points: The room needed updating, but I understand the hotel is in the process of a referb. Only one bath towel. The dining room was very Cold in the morning for breakfast, this made the food go cold quickly.

Bad Points: Missing curtains, windows which did not lock, towels on the floor, decorators outside the room from 7am., slow receptionist who kept snifing loudly.... shall I go on!

Good Points: Bathroom and shower were good.
Bad Points: Generally grubby appearance of room which had a very old/tired single bed, it also had a poor view of facing brickwall, the hotel corridors and reception area (the latter had a very stale odour on arrival) were grubby also.
Further Comments: If I had not booked in advance via the Internet I would not have stayed. The hotel is most unattractive and on arrival difficult to find.
