Good Points: the food was excellent and the service in the restaurant was good thee brekfast was good good variety
Bad Points: the toilet and bathroom could have had more room found it a bit small and needs updating but it was clean and lots of hot water
Further Comments: its a lovely old building and its set in a beutiful setting peacefull ,the bar staff were friendly and for a place like this the prices for drinks at bar are not to bad

Good Points: A great atmosphere of elegance and style. The grandeur of a nineteenth century country house being maintained - keep that way! Excellent food produced by an excellent chef.
Bad Points: More to be done on some bedrooms but we know you have that planned anyway

Good Points: Quiet location and friendly staff
Bad Points: Room in the basement was cold and damp feeling. Could not get the heating to work either.

Good Points: Character, setting, food, the staff were exceptionally helpful.
Bad Points: Hot water supply was erratic, decor was tatty in the bedroom
Further Comments: The hotel is a real character building in a beautiful setting with good access. The staff were exceptionally helpful and made the extra effort sadly lacking in other hotels I have stayed at. The hotel could do with some decoration but that's a small complaint against the overall experience.

Good Points: It was friendly the room was clean and well equiped. The food was really enjoyable.

Good Points: Hotel surroundings and grounds excellent, meals very good but slightly overpriced, hotel manager 1st class service, other staff very attentive.
Bad Points: Room decor outdated and in need of upgrading, drinks pricey compared to other hotels in area, some items on menu not available, very quiet when we were there.
Further Comments: Would like to have known if any entertainment available on the nights, if there are any special weekends e.g. Murder Mystery etc, overall it was a pleasant stay, which may not have been so enjoyable if there had not been a birthday party on with accompanying ceilidh on that evening, otherwise there would have been eight guests and very quiet. The overall atmosphere is geared to older residents, and may benefit from an overall modernisation which would attract a slightly younger guest, if there were attractions to the hotel, it is some way from the nearest town for alternative entertainment.

Good Points: VERY GOOD STAFF WHO GAVE A GOOD SERVICE. GOOD FOOD AND THE HOTEL WAS WELL HEATED IN PUBLIC AREAS.A FIRST CLASS LOCATION, WELL AWAY FROM THE ROADS.
Bad Points: ROOM CONDITION ALTHOUGH CLEAN, VERY WELL WORN, ELECTRIC CABLE WHICH NEEDED TO BE PLUGGED IN TO HEAT THE BATHROOM WAS UNDER A SINK AND THE BATHROOM DOOR COULD NOT BE CLOSED WHEN THE HEATER WAS SWITCHED ON. NOT VERY SAFE!
Further Comments: WHAT LEVEL THE ROOMS WERE ON AND BETTER PICTURES.

Bad Points: Damp, dirty, cold, very dated, no customer service....
Further Comments: Overall it was money wasted as we would have liked to have stayed somewhere else had we seen the room we stayed in. Would definitely not recommend to anyone......

Bad Points: Room not done following morning Problem with tv Staff not helpfull
Further Comments: Overall what was suppose to be a romantic break in a wonderful surrounding turn out to be a joke. Very disappointing experience, room dirty, clean only once in a 3 night stay, no toilet paper available, no towels...Staff felt like they didn't really care and overall not very helpfull, food just average and be careful, don't even try to request something extra as per example hot chocolate for breakfast... Couldn't watch tv as it was not clear, had to change 3 times for a room who could provide hot water, with lightbulbs working and matching my booking!!! Will I recommend this hotel???Certainly not.
