Good Points: Friendly staff and positive atmosphere of the hotel.
Bad Points: Not able to open a window to bedroom at night - only open large door which would become a security risk.
Further Comments: Excellent experience with staff going out of their way to be helpful. Friendly and positive environment. Hotel maintained to a high standard.

Good Points: It was a beutiful building set in lovely grounds
Bad Points: The breakfast was very expensive we only had a continetal but there was not a great choice on it for the cost
Further Comments: We would have liked to have the breakfast included in the price but other than that is was lovely.

Further Comments: We did not like the fact that there was a set menu for the evening meal. This was not explained to us despite that fact the hotel rang to ask if we would require an evening meal.

Good Points: Very pleasant and friendly. Lovely decor. Super staff. Lovely setting.

Further Comments: Overall a good experience if a little pricey. I didn't eat there but will next time I stay. I found my fellow guests smoking cigars, clicking on the laptop and constant mobile phoning in the lounge irritating and unrelaxing. My room was lovely and warm and the bed really comfortable. The bathroom was really nice even though the shower attachment needed constant fine tweaking while in use. The staff were really sweet.

Good Points: The hotel itself is wonderful. The restuarant and sitting room areas are welcoming and relaxing. The rooms we experienced prior to this visit were very nice and luxurious with good bathrooms and nice features. The food is exceptional!
Bad Points: Reception staff were not very welcoming and seemed patronising, made us feel out of place.
Further Comments: The hotel itself is wonderful. The restuarant and sitting room areas are welcoming and relaxing. Previously we have had very nice rooms which is why we have returned and brought friends on special occasions. On this stay our room was little better than a travel lodge and the radiator in the bathroom wasn't working. The friends we brought had a much better room which we were very happy about as we had told them much about the manor and this was our christmas present for them. However, the food, as previous visits, was wonderful. The food will certainly encourage us to return but perhaps enquire which room we are booking to ensure we don't return to the one we had this time around.

Good Points: Attention to detail by exceptionally friendly staff. Complimentary fruitbowl!
Bad Points: The one negative arose from the noise of squeeking floorboards from the room above, however I guess that's to be expected of such an old building, with character.

Good Points: For the price, we were expecting just an average hotel, but got a fabulous one

Further Comments: Helpful and courteous staff, lovely old buiding in superb condition and beautiful grounds. But the best part was the fabulous cuisine, normally found at 100 pound per cover type restaurants.

Further Comments: Helpful and courteous staff, lovely old buiding in superb condition and beautiful grounds. But the best part was the fabulous cuisine, normally found at 100 pound per cover type restaurants.

Good Points: Our room was wonderfully furnished,welcoming and beautifully clean. The little personal touches (the welcome note, tissues, fruit and water etc were much appreciated and the 'Teddy' made us smile.
Bad Points: I would make one suggestion re the rooms. The provision of disposable slippers would be really nice. They could also serve as a means of advertising if printed especially for the Manor, as people would probably take them home and friends may ask about them.
Further Comments: On our arrival at the Manor we immediately felt quite at home and relaxed after our journey. All the staff were extremely attentive and service at dinner was excellent in the beautiful dining room with crisp white linen and a profusion of stunning white flower arrangements. Slowly strolling around the grounds, exploring the nooks and crannies and watching the squirrels scampering around the old oaks and beeches was a real treat. However, both my husband and I agree that what we will most remember about our stay is breakfasts at the Manor. Everything was perfectly timed and perfectly prepared with top marks going to the wonderful variety on the menu.
