Good Points: Clean,spacious rooms with good facilities.

Good Points: Large room, very large bath/shower. Very friendly & efficient staff.
Bad Points: Curtains could have been thicker, decor rather jaded.
Further Comments: Good food, excellent staff and overall standard of service. For the price given (ￂﾣ45 for double with b/fast) the hotel was superb value.

Good Points: It was ideally located for our onward travel to Scotland
Bad Points: The noise from the road.
Further Comments: The room was not as clean as it should have been, and the decor was rather tired. The commond areas such as the dining room and bar were also rather drab and tired looking. I understand that the hotel has recently changed ownership and that there is a programme of refurbishment planned for the near future. Until such time as the refurb has been completed I would be reluctant to recommend the hotel to friends. However,I have to add that the staff were very helpful and polite - excellent attitude.

Bad Points: noise from the road. Front road facing windows could do with being double-glazed. However, I'm partially deaf so i had no trouble getting off to sleep!
Further Comments: Hotel is conveniently situated between Preston and Lancaster on the A6. The booking for two single rooms was done via the internet and was completed very easily. Staff upon arrival were friendly and efficient. The rooms were meant to be singles but we both had twin rooms which were spacious, clean and fitted out to a good standard. We didn't dine in as we were visiting relations but the breakfast was very good and again the staff were pleasant and helpful. I was impressed with my overnight stay and will be happy to book in for a longer stay if I find myself in the area again and needing accommodation.

Further Comments: we stayed at the hotel for a duration of 4 nights and I must say that it was a most pleasurable experience and if the need ever arises again we would have no hessitation to book here again.

Further Comments: Our only issue was that we were not told in advance that the restaurant was not open on that Monday night. Having said that, the alternative bar meal was more than adequate replacement.
