Good Points: It's close to the trainstation. We were on transit from the Edinburgh Airport to Loch Lomond
Bad Points: It was a bit old-fashioned. The bed were OK, but the furniture in the suite were very old and ugly (for us it wasn't that important though)
Further Comments: It was unclear how long the bar of the hotel was open. And the person behind the counter gave us not a very welcoming service. But that could be due to the loud, irritatingly drunk american people sitting in the lounge...

Good Points: restaurant - wonderful views over Princes street. Staff very helpful
Bad Points: Shower was very weak, low background noise in bedroom from outside extractor or air con.

Good Points: Very central position,staff very efficient and friendly,comfortable bed.
Bad Points: Hotel needs modernising - I am sure it was grand in it's day but needs bringing into 21st century.Would have liked duvet not blanket on bed.
Further Comments: I would recommend this hotel for it's excellent position and good value for money. I found the reception staff to be most courteous,although I did not eat there so cannot comment on the restaurant food or service. My one criticism would be that the hotel itself is a little outdated and could do with modernising in parts,but on the whole I found it comfortable and clean and would definitely use it again.

Good Points: Very convenient for the station and city centre,
Further Comments: good price, friendly staff, everything worked, comfortable and homely rather than 'smart', nice breakfast room overlooking Princes St and the station, I would go there again

Good Points: Good central location - 5 minutes walk to railway station and Bus station. Large double room. Good toilet. Clean and quiet

Further Comments: I would recommend this hotel to family and couples - its quiet and centrally located - right on the main street. Numerous shops and restaraunts available within a stones throw. The room itself was 2 rooms and fairly large with 2 televisions. It was clean and quiet. Staff were extremely friendly and overall the experience was good. The price I felt was on the higher side though not as expensive as other places I have been to.

Bad Points: Ill fitting old windows which were rattly and draughty
Further Comments: Very well situated for all local attractions, shops and travel. Service was friendly and professional.

Good Points: Reasonably priced compared to other city center hotels.
Bad Points: Limited IT conections for computer.
Further Comments: Hotel reception is unusually up a flight of stairs. Hotel is close to train connections and airport shuttlebus connection. Lounge area is functional but rather austere, save for the limited seating area by the windows. Helpful staff.

Good Points: hotel very central, staff very pleasant
Bad Points: Phone alarm call had been left on from previous visitor so I got called at 04:30 am. And couldn't sleep again.
Further Comments: Overall I was pretty satisfied with my stay. Reception staff were very pleasant, helpful and informative about tourist attractions, transport etc.
