| Good Points:
Very central and convenient.had everything one could need |
| Bad Points:
very noisy as had room overlooking princes street, but the centrality of the hotel makes up for the noise |
| Further Comments: Excellent location.Staff friendly and helpful.Room service available.
Near many fast food outlets.Directly opposite Waverley Station and 1 minute walk from where city bus tour departs.

| Good Points:
The location was excellent. |
| Bad Points:
I didsliked the fact that the hotel needed updating, it looked like it hadn't been refurbished for years. Also we got a lot of road noise, so found it hard to sleep. |

| Good Points: Staff were very helpful and polite |
| Bad Points: It was showing it's age as far as the accomodation was concerned. But at the end of the day I see a hotel as a place to sleep rather than a place to live, everything was spotlessly clean. |
| Further Comments: Excellently situated at the top of Princes Street, value for money considering the location. As long as you are not planning on spending your whole time in the room then you will find it a good place to stay. |

| Good Points: Excellent location, right across from Waverly station. Friendly staff, room was decent sized, great for a budget hotel. |
| Bad Points: Shower was almost too small. |
| Further Comments: This hotel was good value for money - my room was quiet, clean, easy to access w/lift, and had wireless internet available (not free). Staff were friendly and helpful, I could dial national and international numbers direct from my room; laundry service was prompt. Easily recommended.
I had a room only - I did have a full breakfast at the hotel one day, felt that breakfast was ok but not great. |

| Good Points: Location |
| Bad Points: Size of room. Shower was difficult to operate. |
| Further Comments: It was an adequate room given its prome location in Central Edinburgh. I commented a couple of times about the shower: each time my complaint was investigated promptly and with a reasonable degree of courtesy. I certainly got the impression that if anything was unsatisfactory, they would attend to the matter. |

| Good Points: It's close to the trainstation. We were on transit from the Edinburgh Airport to Loch Lomond |
| Bad Points: It was a bit old-fashioned. The bed were OK, but the furniture in the suite were very old and ugly (for us it wasn't that important though) |
| Further Comments: It was unclear how long the bar of the hotel was open. And the person behind the counter gave us not a very welcoming service. But that could be due to the loud, irritatingly drunk american people sitting in the lounge... |
